It would be stupid for him to sign an extension. If he has another comparable year he would make significantly more money in free agency. He already signed a team friendly deal not going to happen twice.
I asked a week ago in the Lynch thread to extend him. If they offer a fair deal why not?

Would you give him the BA deal? Because if I'm JJ and I have another great season as a starting XWR, that's what I'd want.

I would of gave him the BA deal before giving it to BA, year after year he has gotten better and better. Doesn't whine, just does his job. If there's a way to release BA and give JJ that $$$, I'd do it. Unfortunately I don't think that will happen and he'll get paid by another team.
He wouldn't want to sign it. But the team would is the point. Of course he can make more after next year. Because he has a strong chance to get above 1,000 + yards and 7 + TD's. I think that's realistic.

I don't think he's going to ask 30M a year even if he has another good season. I wouldn't be surprised if he signs an extension mid season if he picks up where he left off. It's a gamble for him he can get a big pay day nothing crazy securing his future or bet on himself but if he ends up having a major injury he's going to lose a lot of $
No he won't get $30 million. But he will get more than he is making and he's probably worth it. Somebody will pay him if he has another good year and hits free agency.

Had he stayed in the game and not got thrown out. He would have had 1,000 + yards. 6 + TD's. Maybe 7 if we threw him one. That's like the prior year Aiyuk. Brandon had 2 good years. Look up his first one. It's about right on par with that. Certainly not far off. The only thing that prevented it was getting into fights and getting thrown out of the last game.
I like Juan but he's not a WR1. Let him price himself out if he has another really good year. This team has enough wrs you don't need to pay everybody.

Juan balled out last year but he really benefited from Aiyuk not being there the whole year and Pearsall having a slow start

Benefited is the wrong word. That only made things harder, it gave him an opportunity and he stepped up
What if.. We gave him another 2 year extension.. 25mil - - 15 guarantee

He's gonna want to get paid, especially if he's got close to another 1k season.

FA is so damn overpriced for players, that he will get a nice pay. Remember a couple years ago when Christian Kirk got that ridiculous contract for basically having one decent season?

He can easily get a 3-4 year deal worth between 20-25mil a year and nice guarantee.
