I like it but wish they would give him a longer contract. Though I do get it, It's much cheaper to just give him the 1 year tender since he is a 7th RD draft pick.

This is a dude that I'd love to keep long term, but I just don't see it. If we are lucky, no one sees this guy as a starter. It's our only chance of extending him next year.

He is going to make too much money next year. He will be missed.

WI'll be interesting to see how they approach this. Do you grab a similar receiver in hopes they develop? Will be interesting to see how the league views him. If they see his ceiling as a number 3, we can resign him. But the Patriots gave Kendrick Bourne a big contract so you never know.
So VERY glad he'll be here next season.

Agree, especially because i see JJ making it with improved play this yr. I bet by end of this season the F O is going to wish they had extended him 3 yrs. He was greatly improved this yr over last and his play last yr was very good…he was just a bit green. This yr he was sure handed on 3rd down. The other thing is opponents D is covering McC, Deebo, Kittle, and JJ frequently gets overlooked . That's when he is money on 3rd down. By end of this season, Ds will not be able to ignore him.

I'd really have liked us to resign him for 3 yrs. We'll see , however.

I was hoping we sign him for 3 years.. and if we somehow doubt that we can affor him next year.. then I'll draft (WR) Jesse Matthews somewhere in the 4th or 5th round...
This guy's a solid security blanket. I would like to see RayRay split his reps more because of the home run threat with him, deebo, and aiyuik at the same time.

I can see a situation where purdys third read is an outlet screen to ray ray that goes for a huge gain where if it were Jennings it would just be first down.
He's definitely gotten better every year.

I love his YAK and toughness.

He's great in Madden, better than Deebo at the long ball.

Bruh how many times have seen a 3rd read be a screen pass? Jennings is one the field more than Ray Ray for a reason. JJ has made several cluthc third down cathces and has earned his time.
