True.

McGlinchey was beyond pathetic.

My man! I believe in Colton, it's great to see his confidence in himself.

Kyle was like, 'Hey you know why you're here, right?' and I was like, 'yeah'. Then he says, 'You didn't make the team', but I thought he said, 'You made the team'. So I let out a big gasp and said, 'Oh, thank God!'. Then, he said, 'No, you didn't hear me right. You got cut', and I just wanted to get out of there as fast as possible."

lol

Both of them are actually better than what people realize.

Ya, if McG had Purdy for his tenure here, he would've looked better in pass pro because Purdy wasn't a statue in the pocket, his sacks allowed would've been lower. Purdy makes everyone on the OL look better because scrambling ability and avoiding pass rushers. But McG was the better OT because of his run blocking ability which was very good.

2 sacks allowed would put him in the elite OL category, and we all see with our own eyes he isn't that. Now he's definitely improved over his time here, and the 2nd half of last season he actually looked alright, not great, but he played like a top 10-15 T.

He's looking more promising, and if he happens to have a pro bowl year, that would be good and bad for us...His price increase will definitely not allow us to resign him. He might be #1 T on the FA market next year.

McGlinchey is counting ~$24M against the cap this year.
Aaron Banks is listed as ~$25M cash this year.
Jaylon Moore is listed as ~$15M cash this year.

Trent Williams is ~$21M against the cap this year.

McKivitz can probably get more than the Niners want to pay now, let alone if he has a great year.

Oh 100% guaranteed he's going to get a s**tload of $$ in FA presuming his play stays the same. Minimum $15m per year

I wouldn't say hes an upgrade skill wise. I think Mcglinchy overall is currently the better player, but by thin margins. Now if you include in the cost for each player, the obvious choice is Mckivitz. Thats where the separations are.
Would you give him this deal?

Absolutely, around $14M per is a deal for a starting OT

if he has a good season, absolutely.

Well deserved, no holdout/hold-in required

Didn't expect that ... he could have had more after this year if he was just average.
