What's up with the thread title change?

Why not? No longer traded for, He's the Silverback, we got him and Juice back.

This will go down as the worst contract in all of sports history.

its 55 mil guaranteed for an elite LT to protect the QB. Its a necessary expense.

Basically, if you think he will be in his prime for the next three years it's a great deal.

Queefs fans on chiefsplanet saying he was too much and their GM only got in the discussion to drive up the price. I think we matched their offer, and trent chose to stay in Cali, because they were in it right to the end.

Lambs fans on ramsondemand having a depressive episode about our O-line improving, and their defense getting run over by our running game even more now. And they were hoping to get Mack

lol I was reading that thread. They were all excited when it was reported that KC were the frontrunners, then as soon as he picked SF they were like "F that big idiot, way too expensive and old. Have fun in sh**ty SF getting taxed all that extra money." Mega butthurt.
I have a question for all you other 'Zoners out there. Does this move put the #12 pick up for play for the defense or is there still a need for an OL? Does this make the possibility for a trade down more likely? Or even a trade up? Your thoughts

Certainly allows for more flexibility. But it doesn't close the door on a OL. Could have three IOL hit FA in 2022 and don't know about McGlinchey's 5th year.

Trent calls himself the silverback...gave himself the nickname and even has a massive tattoo on his back.

Yeah that's his nickname, like Juice is Juice, Trent is Silverback, plus yes he has that massive tattoo on his back.

There was another tweet by Miller worse than that. The guy was basically saying that Trent Williams was a fool for wanting to stay in San Fran when he could have played with Mahomes and the Chiefs.
God forbid someone to be faithful and to like working for a certain coach with the niners.
Matt Miller has become worse than Cohn.

If Trent's goal is to win Super Bowl(s) then obviously his best chance would have been signing with the Chiefs, but it's pretty clear from the contract numbers that this was about individual pride with TW wanting to (deservedly) be paid as the top tackle in the league and KC just wasn't willing to match us on that.

Or maybe he sees all the holes on the Chiefs roster and thinks the 49ers are a better bet.

Trent can call himself whatever he wants. Everyone else needs permission.

I still would draft Slater if he is there. UNLESS, we can move up for Lance or Fields at a reasonable cost. I just dont see a defensive player worthy of that pick and I would move down
