When has Jed ever been cheap?? Dude has been handing out massive deals for 10 years

It stems back to when daddy York used to make players pay for bottles of water at practice and hired Erickson because he would be cheaper than guys like Dennis Green.

I'm very impressed, especially after hearing the terms of the deal 55m guaranteed and 20mm a year over three years. That's is not bad.
This is what I heard on NFL Network this morning. Can anyone verify?
yooooo where you been!

Someone was trying to be "first," trusted a source too much and published as soon as word that Williams signed. Poor reporter just forgot to check with whom he signed.
Seriously? kc was that close to signing him? what was the offer at the time? This sht better all be recorded officially because its too easy now to goose someone out of millions with fake internet bullsht. Better be an official offer.
Lynchie be like pooping his pants though and got jed to bust the bank.
All's well....
Lol. Love it.
Haha that sounds like a Grant Cohn thing to do.

Good god, I can't stand Matt Miller, I saw him on NFL Live on ESPN last week, I just want to punch him in his face, complete joke IMO.
As for anyone saying the cap is a myth, BS, teams know how to manipulate it, it's not fake, not a myth, just easy to create cap room.

F*** them! Can't have enough heartbreak lol
Just checking the Cheif's boards, it's moping time for them. A lot of them saying *That's too much for just a Left Tackle!*

6 years, wow.
So i think we can croo out Tackle in Round1.
Glad its over.
Now get us a center!
Originally posted by Giedi:The need is there. Bring in Slater and we will have some real pass pro + no drop off in run blocking.

If no QB I'd still take Slater if available. Can play G and give us options if Glinch doesn't figure out his pass protect.
With trent signed, there's less need for Slater (I would love to have him though) but center has to be the next priority, at least for me it is.

If they don't resign this guy it's another terrible job of wasting draft picks. They should have never traded for him in the first place without an extension in place. Should have drafted a Tackle last year instead of kinlaw.
However this kind of ineptitude is expected here now days.
Trent is good as gone. Lynch is a rookie gm with 5 years of disappointment.
lynch also said he is confident the team will sign jason v before free agency begins. he talks a big game. maybe in his life after football. he can become a used car salesman

Like last year though, we didn't ADD any talent...just running it back or lateral moves. Mack is going to help a ton in the mental game though. He's 36 but should help transition a rookie C into hopefully, a real long term solution. Hopefully. That was plan C though.
yup because adding a ton of overpaid talent from another team assuming they will do the same thing elsewhere has always panned out for NFL teamsThey had literally nowhere to go but down if they lost Trent. smh
Plan C for who? you maybe, not everyone else.
Retaining players you KNOW are f**king good in your system is what matters. This is been a great off season so far.

yeh.
I think if your going to give 140m to an offensive lineman, it better be a john hannah/ jim otto type player.
And that's trent.
/discussion.

There was another tweet by Miller worse than that. The guy was basically saying that Trent Williams was a fool for wanting to stay in San Fran when he could have played with Mahomes and the Chiefs.
God forbid someone to be faithful and to like working for a certain coach with the niners.
Matt Miller has become worse than Cohn.
