I assume the last Hurdle is something to do with guarantees or incentives. Normally those are the last things to iron out.

He been using the Steelers all along to get the niners to up their offer, and Lynch knew it. Let's meet somewhere in the middle and end this ish, and go get 6

Why does he want to live in Pittsburg, even if only part-time?
They get charged tax for what state they play in weekly it's not solely based on the teams home state.
It helps tremendously to play half of the games in Pennsylvania rather than California.

And you also live in Pennsylvania.
These guys already make millions a year, losing some extra tax money doesn't matter in the end.
It's more about ego in the end with these players. If BA feels like he's a top 3/5 receiver in the league, the only way to they get that respect is through their contract.

Aiyuk has set the standard for annoying in contract negotiations. Looks like a huge clown at this point,
It's not just you two, but many other fans on the internet.... what is it that causes fans to turn into drama queens whenever our players are in negotiations with the FO?
I see a lot of "I can't take it anymore! move on already!"... "we don't need him f**k him"...and even more embarrassing post, from men at that.
Is it second hand embarrassment for the team (when the FO is just in negotiations mode as well, and there are no hard feelings).. second hand stress?
It's so interesting to watch... yet pathetic to also see. (Yes second hand embarrassment as a 9er fan, and as a man, to see yall act like this)
The irony of calling fans drama queens is awesome. The only real queen in this whole process seems to be a certain pouty WR who can't seem to figure out whether he wants money or play for a contender. Pushing back on every legit offer like a child who won't eat his broccoli. Yeah, we're the drama queens.![]()

How do you know what is true and what is not? Front Office is going to do what they do, even if using the media.. Player Agent is gonna do what he has to do, even if using the media.
Both parties can be holding out purposely, to get as much possible of what they want, until the last second to then finally settle.
I don't think the 9ers FO is worried about Aiyuk missing time/preseason. They know he will be ready.
