I think a lot of people are over valuing the trade market for BA. If he was on a modest deal his trade market would be high but since he wants a new contract and WRs aren't exactly in short supply his trade market isn't as high you think it is.

We'll probably get a 2nd rounder at most.

Agreed

yes, we got one of those already, i don't know if you want 2. they seemed to go out of their way to get guys who can get open. that was our challenge in the SB L. plus JJ has more dog in him, than Sutton. He's better imo.

I don't want Sutton but Jennings isn't better than Sutton. Chill my man I love Jennings too but damn that's a wild take

Sutton is not that good imo. If you want a run blocker, which is half our plays, JJ is better on those downs, probably by a lot. as a WR he can do some of the contested catch stuff Sutton can do. Sutton probably a lil more straight line GPS speed, but that's not BPs game really or our offense. DEN is having our same issue, they need WRs who can uncover and get open. Payton is saying as much as he's drafting those guys.

exactly
It's gonna be a 2nd and a 3rd.

I would rather have Freiermuth and a 2nd than that.

Maybe they could then trade the 2nd for Adams or Higgins.

I don't know, nothing sounds good.

Think of all those third down plays where BA is money and gets a 20 yard game. Those plays won't be there anymore, so we definitely need somebody to step up or I believe trade for a receiver with the draft picks we acquire

We've got open receivers all over the field on the majority of plays. Benefits of having cmc, juice, kittle, deebo, and Jennings to contend with

Good things is Pittsburgh isn't making the playoffs so it will be in a decent range as well, probably top 45 pick.
Rapoport: 49ers and Steelers agree on trade deal, final decision rests with Brandon Aiyuk

"If SF gives the final sign-off, it's done," Rapoport wrote on social media

oh ok

Maybe, but imo we take a huge hit at wining it all without him. I get it, but not sure how much a vet can do unless we land someone like Adams etc. May just need to roll with the two rookies and Deebo.

2 rookies and Deebo?

The disrespect for Jauan Jennings, who was the best WR in the SB and been the best WR in camp this year, is wild.

Jauan Jennings is a product of being a #3. I love him as a #3. But it remains to be seen if he can be a #2, or god forbid Deebo misses extended time a #1.

Yeah Jennings is a great fit in our offense but he's not a better receiver by any metric except blocking.
Get Amari with the 3rd. If it's a one year rental, we'll get a comp 3rd back. Would still love Adams, he easily had 3 more good years and will play his ass off for us.

That's not the point, Aiyuk offers Purdy a receiver that's open way quicker than our other players and those other players like Deebo, Kittle even McCaffery get injured from time to time.

This deal with the Steelers better include a front line starter at minimum or the FO F****D up big time.

I cant imagine they'd accept it. They are just playing the game per Aiyuk's standards (leaking to the public etc) I know the FO doesn't like to get nasty, especially publicly, but sometimes you have to be cruel to be kind and I am thinking this dude needs a dose of that. I still feel the niners hold all the real leverage. Anything Aiyuk tries if we don't trade him aside giving it 100% like he is expected can only hurt him.

The only other thing I can only imagine is they are taking the next 2-3 years into account. So maybe trading him now alters other things they can do to keep the roster competitive etc.

Their refusal to play hardball frustrates me. If it's intentional they give the player all the power and we will continue to deal with this kind of BS going forward with the majority of players who want that bag. It's a poor strategy imo.

Then if his trade market value isn't remotely near or commeasurate to his on-roster value, then you DON'T trade him.

You don't sell a house you love and can live in for the next year or two if there isn't a buyer's market that will pay you enough to want to move on.

Hopefully bro but they made it with Pickett. Wilson isn't what he used to be buts he's better than Pickett. And now add in an all pro wr. There division is tough though.
