So what happens if BA doesnt accept the deal (won't sign a contract extension) with Pitt so they won't execute the trade. He can still show up to camp, get "injured" and be guaranteed his 2025 salary and not play a down for us? Is that our worst case scenario?

I guess he could do that, but what team/locker room would trust that dude after.....

Take those picks, add in another mid round pick or two and go get Adams.

adams is more name than game he was elite many years ago back when he had rodgers

Adams would be a good fit to make another Super Bowl run this year. Not saying he is the same player he was 5 years ago but he is still a very very good player.

maybe good for 1 more season, tops. i would prefer leave him out of this, keep your draft picks, keep your dollars, play 85, CMC, Deebo, JJ, the rooks, that is more than enough firepower.

Adams is better that Aiyuk right now even though he is the wrong side of 30. I'm not sure he really wants a ring though he like Tyreek took the bag think he stays in Vegas

With this whole Fiasco it seems like Aiyuk would ONLY sign a deal with the steelers. He probably told them such so that they knew they could low ball us any offer without any worry of Aiyuk being traded elsewhere. Bunch of colluding going on.
How badly are we getting ripped off in this "deal?"

1st round pick + star player. Get out of here for less.

Sutton?

At least Cooper had a season that was about as good as Aiyuk's. Sutton has never had a season even remotely close.

And the craziest part is he's had no leverage To dictate this. Lynch is getting embarrassed here

If that's the case....honestly, why not just tell Aiyuk, "see you on the field, we will revisit after we tag you next year."

The problem is the other teams wouldn't trade for him if he wasn't going to sign a contract. Would be hard to find a trade partner where they knew they couldn't sign the player.
Is this drama Queen finally gone?

Sutton is no good, he's stiff, and doesn't get in and out of his breaks. Shanny drafted WRs who can get in and out of their breaks. With BP, we want to target short and intermediate, lot of in breaking, and you need that quick separation. Sutton is maybe a deep threat / run blocker, that's about it. good frame. he's not someone i see them pairing with brock. unless he was freely available.

Yeah Jennings is well known for his quicks
This deal with the Steelers better include a front line starter at minimum or the FO F****D up big time. I don't understand why they are so unwilling to play hard ball and call his bluff, let him sit the season and start over next year.
