There is a delicate balance here. You don't want to go too aggressive against him as it may hurt chances of luring other players in the future to your team. You also don't want to go too soft and let future players walk all over your organization which would cause a detriment to the team.

Too aggressive? If anyone looks aggressive it's Aiyuk going public with everything. I see no problems luring players in the future, the 49ers did nothing wrong here and don't HAVE TOO sign him to a new contract cause he's under one on the 5th year option; nor do they HAVE TOO trade him

i kind of need more than a 2nd + 3rd for him. Do they have a starting RT they can add in ?

Lol slick Rick can't even stay healthy enough to attend consecutive practices
I rather would have the Browns offer or better yet, Aiyuk. I think by the time he would be in the 2nd or 3rd year of a contract extension with us, he's the focal point of this offense and possibly in position to be the highest paid receiver in the league. I don't think his camp is thinking long range. I'm thinking John Jefferson leaving the Chargers type of trajectory.

I doubt the Steelers offer eclipses the Browns. With that said, here we are. Opportunity in abundance for Pearsall, Cowing, Jennings, and Taylor/Conley. Maybe even Danny Gray gets on the practice squad. Hopefully we can get a guy that can consistently win one on one.

On a positive note, maybe we work on an extension for Lenoir (or Ward) now?

Cause we're in win now mode. Sitting one of our best will help none.

By Sitting out the whole pre-season, he'll be in shape by week 8 I guess

Steelers will be out of the hunt by then. Good luck trying to win even 2nd place in that division behind the Ravens, Bengals, and Browns. What an idiotic move

Call the Raiders.

Offer them everything the Steelers give us plus another pick for Adams.

That's the only way I will be happy about this, assuming no extension.

Raiders have a no trade thing with Niners. Always. For the rest of time.

If Adams wants to come here, they will let him.

Lol I don't think we would have to offer all that for Adams. That would be a bad trade on our part. Cause we would have to pay Adams too unless it's a one year rental

Apparently his 2025 and 2026 seasons on his contract are 0% guaranteed? Might give us some leverage in contract negotiations. Then again we apparently have none with Aiyuk
Maybe they'll make an in season trade for a wideout. They'll have the draft capital to do so.

I don't believe anything about this report UNLESS We've got a kings ransom in tow. My money is on us resigning Aiyuk

Just because we're in win now mode doesn't mean we will accept something stupid because there is no guarantee that we will win now

Lynch is way smarter than us but you guys can believe what you will but I ain't buying it for a bag of chips

Getting just picks back would be a huge L for them unless they were able to flip those picks for guys like Adams and Judon.

I mean they ain't sitting him by choice lol
Whatever. I want team first guys. Not two faced A-Holes. Bye.

He wants to catch passes from real QBs like Russell Wilson and Justin Fields.

These 2 will definitely help bring out the petulant BA we saw during the Jimmy years. Should make for great entertainment.

It could be worse lol. The Steelers aren't ever going to be bad enough to draft high and I don't see them trading up. If he accepts this trade, get your 🍿 ready to watch this.

They're in Vegas now. They need to let the grudge go.

yea and Germany started WW2. Time heals all wounds
We need Pearsall to pull a Puka in his rookie year. BTW, I would also be thrilled with Adams, if we could figure that out.

Completely agree. We've spent way too much time on this already and it's been a big distraction. Rather focus on TW and get ready for week one on Monday night.

Which is why I insist we ain't trading him for a bag of chips despite these errant reports. The highest likelihood he was traded was pre draft
