I wish we could see the numbers and then we can judge what's going

All the recivers that were in place of Ayuik in the X were wide open. Conley looked like he may be able to take up some of the reps in place of Ayuik's targets.

The media pundits that have said it's Kyles scheme that leaves him open and that he may not produce the same way with other teams. I agree now after paying attention last night. Ayuik is very good but not irreplaceable.

IMHO I would tell Aiyuk it's Cleveland or here that's it. Make him whine but it's fair for all.

I think Aiyuk is very good and it would hurt us if we aren't able to properly replace him this year, but it wouldn't devastate us either.

I kinda wish we got that Cleveland trade or am able to finesse Adams from LV.

At least in those situations, even though we are losing a good young player, we gain an older good player for the next couple years. I think Adams would be amazing here
This dude even turned his fans against him. A couple weeks ago it was "pay this man whatever it takes"…. Now it's "he's replaceable"

and I get it. His handling of this has been the worst.

I think most of us prefer to keep him, he's clearly a very good player, but isn't a staple to this team IMO.

At this point, I'd really love for the team to figure out a way to get Adams. Lol that would probably make me happier than resigning Aiyuk.
lmao we drafted BA in 2020 and Trey Lance in 2021.

BA Thread: 932 pages
Trey lance Thread: 5318 pages.

lmao that is wild.

I'm still here saying pay the man...just not whatever it takes and it was never that. Just think they can find the middle ground to get the deal done.

Either way one thing I definitely don't want to see is us trade him away for pennies on the dollar. Let's be hones our drafting lately hasn't set the world on fire so I'd rather keep the proven player to make your offense highly explosive than bring in unknown draft picks that could turn out to be nobodies.

The AJ Brown trade for the Titans was a great reminder of why you should keep the proven guys if you have the means to.
The reason I want Cryin' Brandy to stay is because of the great connection he has with Brock. That's worth quite a bit, the chemistry is already there. Also, the dude doesn't get injured much. Adams? Good but older. Who knows how that would pan out. I like to know what works now and likely for some time to come. But yeah, needs to get over himself lol

Tbh, let's just say the reported numbers are accurate - niners offered $28M and Steelers are at $31M… the APY really doesn't make much sense to hold up a deal.

it must be more - like the Steelers are offering materially more in guaranteed cash or something.

lets say the niners are offering: 4 years $112M w/ $85M guaranteed

and Steelers are: 4 years $124M w/ $85 guaranteed

it's essentially the same deal the same amount of money is guaranteed. Especially if it's a similar signing bonus and the first three years are similar - the last year would essentially be the same in the deal.

idk i just think it's gotta be more than APY.

IMHO, in order of preference:

1. Somehow getting Adams for Aiyuk.

2. Extending Aiyuk.

3. Getting the Cleveland package for Aiyuk

LARGE GAP

4. Everything else.

5. Trading him to Pittsburgh for garbage.

1-3 are acceptable.

The site feasts on the negative. I'd bet Kinlaw is up there too.

I agree with the first three - only change I'd make is to 3. Cleveland trade or Pitt makes a much better offer

Lance was a QB and a very, very high pick. That we gave up huge draft capital for. That was anointed the next coming. So it makes sense.
I'm really curious if a 4th or fifth next year or so would be able to get Amari cooper. That would make this situation a lot easier.

Throw in Ronnie Bell and/or Grey, one of them already getting cut, with Cooper both would

QB threads will always draw the most discussion. Especially with this franchise for obvious reasons.
