I never before heard of a player requesting a trade because of money but only choosing 1 team he is willing to go to. If he wants out because of money he should have alot more than 1 team on his list. When a player gives his team limited options it's usually because the team wants to trade him and needs that player to waive his no trade clause. So the player says "Ok i will waive it but I only have one of these limited teams I will waive my no trade clause for"

But in this case it's the player who requested the trade. So why is he not giving the Niners more trade options if he wants out?

Lynch probably told him he would not trade him to any NFC team. If you notice all the teams rumored are AFC teams.

I think the 49ers will offer him a little more money to save face for everyone but I would call him on his bluff, keep their current offer and let him sit out if he doesn't like that. Both side's know that if BA actually holds out, he will be doing more damage to his career and not make nearly the same amount when contracts are offered to him next year. That is, if the 49ers release him because that 5th year will just transfer to 2025 if he doesn't play.

I don't know. I think Kyle and John really don't appreciate the public antics, and might just want to re establish who runs this place.
at this point, would rather have Cooper...at least he seems like he wants to play Captain Dips**t just wants to cuddle with Tomlin and count his money.
I'm kind of tired of this crap. I dislike guys that don't own up to their contracts

Does anyone know what the Steelers offered him?

If not realistic for us to match then have fun holding out because we have leverage in that case. Go to Cleveland if it's the same money and we get a fair trade.

the rumor....no idea if it is accurate was 28.2

According to AB81s rumor he walked away from a deal from us for 28 M. I can't imagine this is all over 200K. Gotta be guaranteed money.

Hmm. Didn't we take Juices contract for this year and told him to take less or we would cut him?

Yeah if it's 28.2 we would have probably signed him. I think the Steelers might have gone to 30 but I don't have any knowledge of the offer just a logical guess.

I wish we could see the numbers and then we can judge what's going

All the recivers that were in place of Ayuik in the X were wide open. Conley looked like he may be able to take up some of the reps in place of Ayuik's targets.

The media pundits that have said it's Kyles scheme that leaves him open and that he may not produce the same way with other teams. I agree now after paying attention last night. Ayuik is very good but not irreplaceable.

IMHO I would tell Aiyuk it's Cleveland or here that's it. Make him whine but it's fair for all.

Well if that is his ultimatum then Parag and Lynch need to tell him to go down to the bait shop and pick up some night crawlers and minners and get his fishing gear and boat and start fishing. Cause it aint going to go down that way.

BA should be more mad at Pittsburgh only willing to give up s**tty players in the trade to get him.

Why does he want to play for Pittsburgh so bad? Excuse my cap knowledge but why don't we just renegotiate his salary for the remaining year so we're paying him $25M/$26M and then let him know we'll franchise him the next year and let the trade talks recommence?

Ah NM - he wants the financial security of a long-term contract/guarantees I'm assuming - okies.

That also wouldn't be a smart move for the niners cap. I guess they could spread that over a few years, cap hit wise, but I think they'd rather spread it over 6-7 years.

Yeah I think the Steelers offer is more along the lines of $31M.

f**k it - send him to Cleveland for cooper and a 2nd, see if they'll take the one year rental or they just tag him next year. Lol

Yeah no telling not all 28m are equal...lots of ways to write up 28m.....

I really like BA, but I love guys who run disciplined routs....having said that.....I realllllly think BA is a product of the offense.....

BA is not an über talented athletic dude....he is...replaceable... no way shape or form would I pay him top 5 WR....pull up any top 5 WR in the last 25 years and compare highlights...BA will not fit in that crowd....he would be the odd man out. If we had this contract conversation next year and some other dudes stepped up....we might be having an argument that 26m is too much for BA.

Well let me put it this way....when we talk of 30m players....I would rather have a DE worth 30m or a CB worth 30...then paying BA 30m
