That Steelers division alone is gonna be a nightmare

Worst team in that division easy.

He's going from an offense where he can anticipate where to catch a ball from Brock, to running around looking at Russ wiggle and extend plays and hoping the ball gets to him. And if Fields is in there has no vision or anticipation, but at least Aiyuk can block for him.

With our 1st round history he's probably gonna suck and be off the team by year 3. Luckily Cowing will be a top 10 receiver by then.

lol

exactly! we like to lay smokescreens with our top two picks in a draft and then really blow up with the mid -late rounders. it's genius for the cap.

Feels like we are going to get screwed on this Trade like we did with TO.

We will see. We didn't have to trade him. We could force him to play for $14M this year. There's no reason for us to take a bad deal.

Issue is how motivated will he be being forced to play for a paltry 14 mill
I also wonder how motivated he'll be after get cashing in.

always gonna get screwed in a forced trade scenario

Yeah. Keeping Aiyuk would be a definite distraction to a team doing a super bowl run. Once an employee doesn't want to work for you, you lose more than you gain in any trade situation. Sucks, but KC lost Hill and still managed to win one. We'll see what happens here, but the season will go on.

Honestly, was watching Get Up this morning and Tannenbaum brought up an interesting option:

Up Aiyuk's base from 14M to 20-21M for 1yr, and guarantee not to franchise in 2025

This gets Aiyuk his money, saves face for everyone, and gives him the opportunity to play for whoever he wants in 2025. At this point I'd rather have him for this big push for SB return and allows us to have money ready to pay Purdy in 2025.

Chat Sports suggested that too, and it's the dumbest idea ever. There is literally no point in doing that. Aiyuk is UNDER CONTRACT. He can choose to honor it, or sit out and lose money. This idea would be like buying a new car...paying $30,000 over asking price...and promising to never use the warranty.

Right. So Aiyuk makes more money. The Niners get NOTHING when he leaves. And they gain nothing new for 2024 since he is already under contract.

lol
Not really nothing, it helps make the future signings easier

No it wouldn't! It would just encourage more players to act this way, knowing how the team caved.

Too late
Heard a rumor that James Daniels would be part of any Aiyuk trade.
The one guy who says we have a verbal agreement is going to be on 95.7 the game at 1030am

He's from Reno, but as someone who currently lives in Reno and has lived in the mid-west, the winters in the mid-west are a lot different. They're much, much colder.
