I agree wth having the FO over Ayuik I just wish we would sign players earlier. Ayuik is a very good Reciver but not JJ, Hill, Cee Dee, St John and a few others. I agree with this move, if we can get value (Patriots 1st and player). We need a right tackle I wonder what's out there lol.

Jaguars, B Thomas & Walker Little .

But if you've been following he's not really disgruntled at the team only his contract situation. And what he's being offered is fair for both sides I can guarantee you. Look at the 9ers track record for contracts, Kittle, Trent Williams, Deebo, Bosa, Jimmy G.. The 49ers spend the money, they just do it to a point where it won't hurt the team. Aiyuk seems like he wants to be paid up there with Tyreek Hill. Hell no to that!!!

That's business, Hill is older and Ayuik is entering his prime. The thing that bugs me that seems to be a trend is holding out of training camp then not being ready or as good of shape after your payday i.e Deebo. He better be ready to go once he gets his new deal

Takes 2 people to make a deal, man. Aiyuk should fire his agent if they rushed to a deal without seeing what the WR market did with so many quality guys getting new deals. Same goes for Williams, Deebo, and Bosa.

Yup, that's what I think also. Ball in his hands now.
I really hope we are just calling his bluff. He cant possibly be willing to accept a trade to Cleveland or New England.
What a Cluster -F##k. FO should have been proactive early, trying to pence pennies and now here we are ....messing up the team chemistry .Ricky`s not ready and not sure He`s the right replacement...oh well this is not looking good for going back to the supper bowl

Watch tomorrows report:

49ers re-sign Brandon Aiyuk.

BA: Yah I b***hed out, mah bad guys.

Let's hope so.
Wish him the best if he leaves and happy to have him if he stays. He is not as good as he thinks he is yet… he has a good offer on a great team… it will be a mistake to leave. Some folks have to learn the hard way though. We will be just fine either way.

I don't like either trade. But I get having Cooper or Bourne would soften the WR drop off for this season.

The thought of getting something like Bourne and a 2nd makes me sick. I'd literally rather just have Aiyuk all year on the sideline. Lol

bourne is coming off an ACL tear and probably wouldn't even make this team in a normal situation.

Agreed. Bourne would be a total failure.

Anything other than a new contract for Aiyuk would be a failure at this point.

The team can only offer. They can't make the guy sign.

What if Aiyuk is asking for $40m a year? Should they just say yes?

this is what the NFL looks like.....you can not keep everyone you want to keep, unless they REALLY want to be here.....

The team is going to break up, it is just a matter of what they can keep.... the 49ers need BA no doubt, but he is not worth top 5 WR money maybe not fringe top 10.

Why do you think Pearsall isn't ready or a good replacement? By all accounts he's been very impressive in training camp so far. I think he's more "pro-ready" than Aiyuk was when he was drafted.
Also if we "only" got a first, that could be a huge piece at the trade deadline for a playoff changer

We'd also be losing a "huge" piece to begin with, though.
if we receive anything less than a first, then the trade is a loss.
Obviously it makes no sense to ask for less than before the draft.
Elijah Mitchell was held out of practice today, and Brieda was signed. I wonder if Mitchell is included in the trade offer.
