I think Friermuth is a good TE but that won't move the needle if we lose BA and draft capital next year

TE market isn't paying $30M for their position. Cooper/mcLaurin and especially Adams are all gonna want something close to that in a yr.

I want good young players that can be here for a while. None of those WRs fit that.

and to be clear I don't want Friermuth for BA at all. I'm just looking at that Pitt roster and seeing if anything makes sense there…which overall it doesn't

True but I would take Pickens over anyone on their offense to at least balance out the loss and that wouldn't cost nearly as much. Plus we'd get draft capital also.
Pickens and Shanahan wouldn't mix in any way shape or form.

We don't know that and Pickens makes some extraordinary plays.

Just curious what Shanahan play has a toss it up receiver. Pickens is talented no doubt but not for this offense.

Still think its all just show and tell. He has to find a team willing to give a #1 and pay him $30m. Or an Amari Cooper type player and a 2 or 3 and still pay him $30m.

Have you watched Pittsburgh games? Not all them are toss up plays and as we all know, Brock Purdy has thrown it up last year, including back shoulder throws against Pittsburgh so whether Shanahan or not has those plays drawn up, that's the reality of football, those plays happen all the time.

If you think Pickens antics would fly with Shanahan I don't what to tell you.

You get Pickens in this locker room and winning environment things can change. But PIT ain't giving him up and I would pass on them unless they throw in one of their starting o linemen

Exactly. Deebo can take a screen or handoff to the house while BA is a product of Kyle's play design.

Trade BA for a starting corner and a pick then use all the other offensive weapons to make up for his production.

If you think BA is a product of the system then you know nothing about the WR position

Ayuik to the Raiders for Davanta? I don't know if this even works but I would like it

Pickens is an anti-Kyle WR. Dude takes plays off and doesn't block.

No... Adams would want to be "The Man"... Deebo already has that gig.

I say send his arse to the Browns for AMari and a second rounder straight up.

He already said he doesn't want to go th Browns. No t team is going to give up capital for a player that it's a guarantee he will sign

Cooper and a 2nd rounder seems pretty unrealistic.

Pickens doesn't block and has spoke about how he doesn't like to cause he could get hurt.

Literally couldn't find a WR that is less of a fit for our team culture and play style. lol

I can't fault him for wanting to go to a team with an established QB but if that is the case, I don't see him wanting to go to the pats or Raiders either.

My hope is that we can send him to vegas for Adams and whatever else. restructure Adams contract and give him some guaranteed money. Have him for 2-3 years and get our younger guys developed.

At this point they should just force him to holdout the first 6 games. He has no option after that other than to report AND play well or else he will get nothing close to what even SF is offering now.

That's a distraction. Yeah they could do that but I don't think this ORG wants that kind of crap going on.

If there is a locker room in the nfl that can handle it, its this one. It's the quintessential "he's not here, we play with who we have." Dont know why any player would care or get distracted when they know its a business. Even Deebo said he felt stupid for making it personal in anyway and still got paid. Then look at Bosa, let his people handle it and it got done when it was done.

There is no distraction, they move on with who they have. The most injured locker room outside of last year learned that.

Ya if we trade him and BA is fine with LV, that would be the trade for us.

We will see. We still don't have an incentive to move him.

This sucks ass if it happens. We need a comparable wr in return. We can't expect the improvement in Purdy to more than cancel the dropoff in Aiyuk not being here. (Unless we get much better pass pro)

I still say we'll see. I think John is allowing Aiyuk to really find out his true market value in the NFL, vs what's been happening on the internet. Once they are all on the same page - this might get resolved. One way or the other - but resolved. I still think Aiyuk will be a 49er. I still think 49ers have the right of first refusal - I.e. if no NFL team will meet the 49ers trade request (I think it's a 1st rounder plus another top flight replacement player) No deal and the 49ers keep Aiyuk, and F-Tag him next year.
