By the time the deal is done FA will be over, they'll need to redo some deals to sign any FAs, Deebo makes sense, saves $15.8M.

now with that said would you move him for the Jets pick at 10? LV's pick at 13?
I don't want low end 1st rd picks. Dude is a stud and should be the future of the team. Not Deebo or Kittle at this point.
thoughts on what it would take you to move him?
To be able to draft Marvin Harrison Jr. If I can't do that, I'm not moving Aiyuk.
The idea he doesn't fit the offense is silly. He does everything you need. Agree Deebo with not being the star. He dominates when we has space, but teams are locked in on stopping him. I hope the offense runs through 1. CMC 2. Aiyuk 3. Kittle 4. Deebo 5. Juice 6. Jennings and everyone else.
I think getting eyeballs elsewhere where defense aren't locked in on Deebo would be best for him going forward. Ironically I think Kittle has a lot more to give (another 1k season in a run centered offense).

MHJ and Brian Thomas are the only rookie WRs I'll be interested in as Aiyuk's replacements as rookies other than that I'm not trading him and hoping a tackle they really like and can put that bum McKivitz on the bench is available at 31

Need to extend him before Lamb and Jefferson do their extensions.

Why? he isn't getting more than those 2 anyways.

Would be nice but he's gonna wait. JJ is gonna reset the WR market. Lamb may end up as the second highest paid WR. Aiyuk is in for a huge payday. He will get more than Deebo for sure

True but if they push the max pay up for wr's in general it might lead BA to wanting a few more million.

No but he could want close to it. I heard Lamb might want $30 Million a year.

I blame Baalke for this lol. Signing Kirk to that deal started the frenzy.

Aiyuk's contract situation should not affect free agency (the report is they will start talking new contract post FA). If he gets a new deal his cap hit for 2024 will come down and if he doesn't get a new deal he will be traded.
As much as I hate even considering this...if you can trade Aiyuk for a mid-1st round pick you can get a top tier OT to play RT and then take the best WR available at #31. Yes Aiyuk is not easily replaced but in this scenario we save a lot of $.

The team is far worse under this scenario. The other top offensive weapons have a lot of miles and/injuries on them. All for a little bit of cap relief. Totally not worth it.

when do you have to be under the cap? Can they make moves known they will get $10M in relief with the extension?

All NFL teams must be under the salary cap by the start of the new league year at 4 p.m. ET on March 13. And yes they can go over as long as they are under by the deadline

I'm not so sure that's true and that's likely why there's a realistic chance he's traded. The 49ers are meeting OTs at the combine that are not expected to be available at 31. Could mean nothing but it may also mean they're preparing for a trade. You aren't going to find OT help at 31 and keeping Purdy healthy should be the #1 priority for this team. It's also not just "a little" cap relief. Aiyuk is going to get paid more than Deebo; he deserves it but it's ok to acknowledge it's going to be a very large contract.
I'm not in favor of trading him because he stays healthy, is homegrown and is the complete WR for this offense but there's definitely an argument that we should invest those resources elsewhere.
