Hard to see anyone else giving up a first for BA.

If we aren't getting a first, I hope we'd get a high 2nd, 3rd and maybe a 5-7.

First or nothing, imo.

You are likely getting one more year of BA and then he's walking then. This is a pretty WR rich draft, makes sense to try to get something while you can.

Yeah, me too. I would love to keep him. But in the event he doesn't want to stay, then we'll just get what we can for him. it should be a 1st (depends on what pick) and some change. Address other team needs and pick up a WR later and resign Jennings. Can we also sign Robert Hunt and then trade up for Latham/Fuaga? Boom the right side is fixed. So many options. Here are the recent big WR trades that happened the last couple of years. I don't know what kind of comp we can get for BA

AJ Brown trade to Eagles was for the number 18(first) and a 3rd
Tyreke Hill was for a 29(1st), 50(2nd), 4th and 6th

I don't think it's a thing of "get what we can"….we get what we want or we don't move him.

I highly doubt they spend up for a IOL. The cash isn't there and they don't put money into that position.

draft the lineman. There's plenty in this one.
I mean "Get what you can" is to trade him for a fair compensation. I don't mean to give him away lol..My bad. As for Hunt in FA for example, if we don't have the money that we're supposed to have to pay Aiyuk, fine. We'll just take care of the RG/RT upgrades in the draft.

All three of our starting WRs were drafted by this regime lol.

But we whiffed on Pettis so facts don't matter

I'm mostly talking about Pettis, Trent Taylor, Gray and Richie James. Those kinda of whiffed picks. Then again Deebo hasn't shown he can win contested catches downfield really or even get separation.

I think this proves what a game of roulette the draft process really is and is why I don't think he is traded.

No I think it's fans who have unrealistic expectations of a 5th round pick Taylor(who wasn't bad just couldn't stay healthy) and a 7th round pick James. Sure you can say we whiffed on Pettis in the 2nd which is clear and Gray seems to be following that path as a late 3rd round pick but I have to believe that pick was for his speed and hopes we could turn him into a better receiver which carries more risk.

I agree, but imo there's no guarantee a first rd wr will be nearly as productive as BA. I wasn't even thinking the middle rounds.

Then take our draft picks to trade up and grab a great rookie WR that can replace alot of Ayuik's abilities. Brock would have much more time to throw receivers open replacing the need for a top receiver like Ayuik. We could also resign JJ.

This only should happen if Ayuik wants out.

If we can trade Aiyuk for a mid 1st round pick we can also take the best OT available and plug him in at RT. With our own 1st rounder yes we should move up then and try to get the best available WR. And yes we should sign G Robert Hunt also.

It's possible we could trade for an established RT, it's rare but that's better than a draft pick that may bust up. With the money we save will get us Hunt. We would need to find a team wth a huge need for a number one WR and has a great RT. Hard to do but there is a possibility.

Who's trading a top tier RT? Also wouldn't SF be taking on his cap hit? The who trade player A for player B thing doesn't really happen anymore

LOL! Nobody is trading their RT. Not unless bass meant trade up to get a top tier RT and sign Hunt with the Aiyuk money that we supposedly use for him. Exactly what I was thinking on my previous post.

I know now it's very rare but would be the best option for a team that needs Ayuik and has that stud RT. Weird things have happened lately so you never know. I agree though what team would be trading a stud right tackle is the question. The cap hit would probably be less than Ayuik and could restructure to afford Hunt. If we had a better right side of the line we would have won

No. I would rather keep him than give him away for a second. As to the other picks, we have a pocket-full of them this year. We don't need any more.

I disagree. I think they need more. I would rather have #36, 40, 47, 63, 67, 78, 95 than #15, 31, 63, 95.

Actually the only reason i would want a 13-20 pick is to target a CB. But i hear of so much OL talent sitting in day 2.
If theres no top 20 first round involved, then we are keeping him

You are telling me you would trade him to Pittsburgh for #20 than the NYG for #39-#47-#70 and 2025 2nd?

I get saying not taking a 2nd, but value is what is important. Take #20 or take #39 and #47 to move up to #21. Take #31 and #70 to move up to #18.

I also get the not trading him at all, I agree with it too, if he wants to stay. I just think he wants out, so trade him now or take the end of 3rd pick in 2025?

We have him for three years and $60M if we so choose per CBA rules and the availability of the franchise tag

We ain't giving up an all Pro unless we get commensurate value in return because we ain't doing players favors and we ain't doing nothing that ain't helping us improve by week one

Its that simple
somebody come get Lil Mama away from BA

Hahaha….girlfriend put the phone down. Ya'll paying an agent 3% of your earnings for a reason
I think we can get more than a 1st. Everyone knows hes underutilized and still put up great numbers this season. With the right system, hes a top 5 WR. I would ask for a 1st and 4th. Im totally onboard with this. Resign Jennings who has been really coming on this past season. We can plug and play wide receivers since Shanahan knows how to scheme them open. We should trade him, save the money, and invest in our O-line and a dominant D.
