Kyle said it wasn't serious, which is great news, only other injuries were Ambry & Lenoir but both returned, so relatively healthy with just 4 players on IR, and 1 on PUP, who should be activated after week 4.

Just rewatched the Aiyuk injury. First injury two players landed on Aiyuk and drove Aiyuk's left shoulder into the astro turf on that first 49er drive. (I hate astroturf!) the second injury was when he was diving to catch a Purdy pass (again on that first drive) and landed hard on that left shoulder again, about three plays after the first injury. I hope he's OK. We'll find out - I'm sure - tomorrow. But he seemed to be able to play through it in the game. I think the Injury to Aiyuk kind of affected Purdy a bit in the passing game. At least, it kinda felt it did.

J.RICE had the same injury the year we played San Diego in the Super Bowl and he swore it was the most painful injury he ever had..

I love Kyle, but give me a break. He is the Black Knight from Holy Grail fame: "Tis But a Scratch!"

I'm kind of wondering where he hurt the shoulder to begin with. Against the Rams? In practice? Last week? We won't hear that news from Kyle Shanahan.

I just hope we jump on NY fast and early so starters can rest. Has Ronnie Bell been active? If he is, would love for guys like him to get playing time. Same with Darnold, Mason, etc.

Ronnie Bell took Aiyuk's spot when he went down. Got a fair amount of playing time, but no targets. If I recall he had a block on McCaffrey's touchdown run.

It's encouraging that Aiyuk was able to continue playing, and isn't slated to miss any time. But agree with you guys... Hopefully we can get out to an early lead, and reduce Aiyuk's snaps. We'll have 10 days of rest after the Thursday night game.
dont play him tomorrow
If they can rest him they should, let the youngsters play and get experience. Is Ray Ray good to go? Put bell and Gray in there and let Brock work on the long ball if it is there.

Kyle might be saying Aiyuk should be okay, but we'll see might be just to force the Giants to account for him in their game plan.
We can beat the giants without Aiyuk. But how does this affect Brock if at all? It seems as though Aiyuk has become Purdy's go to target. I know we've had a limited sample size but I'm curious what Brock's rating is when targeting Aiyuk vs other receivers.

It all depends on what the opponents game plan is. Aiyuk clamped down on by the Rams because what he did to the Steelers. Maybe this is Kittle's game? Brock has a repoire with whoever Kyle decides to gameplan with. Aiyuk got more than what they thought they would so they just kept calling his number.
Ronnie Bell
Did I see someone compare Jennings to Anquan Boldin?
Jesus Christ.
With the longer season and playoff possibilities it makes sense to get guys rest early if they need it.
