Honestly, I think it should all depend on what the defense is showing them. If the weakness is at corner, more Aiyuk. If they can't tackle or are afraid, more CMC, Deebo. Poor coverage linebackers or safeties, Kittle.
Good post.
Now I'm horny
Isn't that what Kyle's offense is designed to do? Find the guy that's open or is covered by the weakest player. Make mismatches. He doesn't try and force the ball downfield.
That's my understanding. I've always felt that is what it meant when it's "QB friendly", there is a poison for the defense in the play if you read it right, usually. Sometimes plays just set up other plays but the options within the play usually have an outlet depending on what the defense is running. At that point, the defense just has to beat the offense to stop them - or QB not hit the open man
If his offense is so QB friendly, while do they all end up on I.R.? Hmmmm.
LOL
What's up, NC? Long time no see.
After what I observed last season, I am starting to lean on coaching as an issue when it comes to player injuries, especially at the QB position. Kyle's statements about Brock before the regular season matchup vs the seahawks was very telling to me for how Kyle views player safety.
Brock's elbow injury was a freak accident. It is common to find backup TE's blocking edge rushers on playaction bootlegs moving away from them. It is not common for a QB to tear his UCL in such a manner. However, Both Jimmy and Trey thought they could carry 2x 300 lb defensive lineman on their backs.
I would argue that atleast half of our QB injuries have occured because they didn't know when to give up on the play (throw the ball away, slide or get out of bounds). That to me is a coaching point that I don't think ever gets addressed. It's one thing to not want to give up on a play when the game is on the line in the playoffs. Its another when its week 2 of the regular season.
