Somebody had to get the targets and catches last year. He got lots of action by default. He made some awesome, highlight plays that mainly showed his ability with the ball in his hand.
however, he had quite a few awful drops or balls that he tipped up and were picked. He's not a natural receiver but more of a playmaker. He doesn't have great instincts to find and dig in the soft spots of the d or the nuance to shake good man coverage.
he should be the lung and kick returner and get a few end around sand screens every game to get him going.

I actually think that he's more the natural WR then Deebo while Deeboh is MORE of the playmaker when the ball is in his hands..

Once we have a QB who utilizes his WRs and not just the middle of the field Yuk will be fine as long as Kyle doesn't go mental again.

Huh? Utilizes the WR's?
Like our WR who was 2nd in the league in receiving yards coming into Sunday?

It's hilarious that everyone is blaming Kyle for Aiyuk's terrible lazy off-season & disappearing act. Instead of improving he is giving us his best Dante Pettis impression. Aiyuk has played almost every snap last 2 weeks. So Kyle's gotta go out there an call every play for him? He can't even get open. If Aiyuk wants to be a great WR then prove you can be. Shanahan can't be out there on the field holding his hand for him.
