we will all be gushing at BA's sunday night game.

I think he has to get at least 6 targets this week. He comin' and hell's comin' with him!

"Davante Adams, when I was coming out of college, he was one of the main receivers that I watched," Aiyuk said Tuesday, via NBC Sports Bay Area. "All the games from last season and what he does, and what he's able to do at the line of scrimmage and with his route running.
"He's actually my pro comparison, so I love watching Davante Adams. I try to take stuff out of his bag and put it in mine."

You can't look at this chart and tell me Aiyuk is being used to the best of his abilities. (route chart on targeted routes week 3 vs GB)
Here's DAdams' route chart (week 3).
Not saying Aiyuk is Adams, but I have seen enough of Aiyuk to know he can win on the outside, but he's not getting targeted. WRs that can win 1v1 outside can benefit from staying away from the middle of the field where it's congested with LBs and safeties.

This pains me. When he runs the deeper routes it's to clear out and decoy.

To be fair in this comparison, Aiyuk is not our #1 option. In fact, he's #3 after Deebo and Kittle.
And also, Aiyuk is not playing against a depleted secondary with the league MVP as his QB.
I'm hopeful though. I'm hopeful that this offense will mature to hit Deebo, Kittle, and Aiyuk more consistently on bigger plays. They certainly do have talent.

To be fair, EVERYONE expected that this guy was going to be our #1.

Would love to see Aiyuk have something of a breakout game. This team needs him to continuously be a threat. Last game was a positive step with a few nice catches including the TD.
