I was initially down with the idea of him returning punts but after that little pop he took at the end of his first PR I instantly went to "get him out and have Sanu back there!"

I'm baffled that Shanny wont even call a bubble screen or anything for Aiyuk to get him involved.

I feel like we're not doing as many WR screens as we did last season, though I'm sure it's coming.
But all in all, I feel like when we do call it, I'd rather run it to Deebo.

In the Shanahan offense, think of a pass as a kind of extended handoff.

Right. Who would have guessed that Jennings, Hasty, Sherfeld, JimmyG, and Mitchell would all have TDs before Kittle.
Yeah, I didn't think JJ, Sherfield would have TD catches before Kittle, and then Hasty, Mitchell, & Jimmy with rushing TDs. It's a team effort, not worried about Aiyuk, the one catch was a big time catch, big one there IMO. But man, Deebo is a stud, 15 catches, 282 yards, 1 TD, hope he can keep it up, would love a 1000 yard receiver from the WR spot, love Kittle and all, but want to see a WR breakout.

Yeah, plus those WR reverses end up being called passes despite the fact the ball is never really passed by the QB. Look at Aiyuk & Deebo from last 2 years. But not worried about Aiyuk.
Edit: Plus he's not Pettis, Pettis was soft, Aiyuk isn't.

Im a bit concerned because you cant do WRs like that..its a different kinda position. 2 full games and only 1 catch. Those kids will start to feel like they arent involved or needed which is a natural human feeling. Dont take what I say next wrong but you almost never saw Rice/Owens etc go two whole games with 1 catch. Those guys would throw a fit. This is also why u see many coaches script early plays for their skill guys to get them into the flow of the game early. Idc what they say to the media no WR wants to be a decoy or just block for 2 straight games. Get this dude going coach.

I'm dying to see what Kyle's excuse is this week for not utilizing this dude. What is he trying to prove?

Trent is lighting up the stat sheet. Can't replace him

He had only 1 catch but it was a huge one on 3rd down that eventually lead to a TD drive and it was not an easy catch.

There is room for three WRs out there and Aiyuk was a beast last year. They're doggin him for a preseason game?

My bet is that Aiyuk reacted badly to Kyle calling him out for the dropped passes leading to interceptions in Preseason, and now Kyle is reminding him who's boss.
I have no problem him being behind Sherfield, but no way should he in effect be behind Sanu and Jennings as well.

I think he'll be busy against the Packers - we're going to need him to contribute, he'll get his catches.

Could've had another catch if Jimmy didn't overthrow him.
