I didn't state I was okay with losing, you said that with your in the future predictions as if its going to happen as facts. Show me proof that it has happened in the Shanny era that we lost cause he didn't play the best wr because shanny wanted to prove a point, until then give kudos to the coach for his ways... this is a 2nd year receiver we're dealing with here not a freaken established vet I have not once mentioned that Aiyuk isnt a good, could be great receiver lol
It doesn't matter if he's a second year wr vs an established vet. Point being that was a risky move and if we weren't playing the worst team in the league we could've and most probably would've lost so I'm thankful Shanahan did this against Det.

My point which I think you missed was this can't keep up bc we will lose without Aiyuk so I will not give kudos to our coach if I think it can be handled another way.....which I already mentioned thru coaching or at practice or vets taking him under their wing not demoting him during a game. You act like Shanahan has some great track record in his "era" in dealing with these type of situations when it's only been a problem with a few players far less talented than Aiyuk.

Would you support this kind of treatment if it was Bosa or Warner? Just curious. Blindly supporting a coach is not too wise imo

What do you mean it doesn't matter if its 2nd year wr vs established vet..... he didn't even established himself as a real #1 in his 1st year all speculation and potential but treat him more like an established vet? how was it risky when its the 1st week of the season? you say that we played against the worst team in the league which is all speculations... no proof at all to back that up. all ifs and buts and speculations so far from your arguments. If you can show me evidence then I would agree, don't freaken bench him... its really that simple.... so far my argument that you responded to was that he's dealt with an actual #1 legit ALL PRO wr in Julio Jones which is facts, so I'll be on his sid, but then your bring up all this speculations and ifs and buts... I would then agree this can't keep up because we will lose if it happened, but you can't show me when it has happened, so more speculations instead of evidence or facts. Show me evidence and ill agree lol, then you say Shanny doesn't have a great track record of dealing with this stuff, so the most recent track record would be like pettis and last time I saw him he went to other teams ala giants and I think he got cut too. I'm bringing evidence while you bring speculations with ifs and butts. Would I support this kind of treatment with bosa/warner, of course not if it was the same situation and it's not, they acutally listen to the coach and they're playing above their competition which is facts... so maybe its the WR????? theres speculation lol... sorry im kinda buzzed so its not the best, but the point still stands lol also gnite guys time for bed.

I see your points I just don't agree at all. We all know Det is a bottom 5 team come on man. We all know that if Aiyuk doesn't receive significant playing time or targets we will lose games bc he does have great wr1 ability which he did IN FACT display his last 6 games. You maybe missed that but I'll say it again. This is evidence and facts not ifs/buts/speculation. 9 receptions 95 yards and .7 tds per game his last 6 full games. Better numbers than Jefferson in that span with a much worse supporting cast. That screams wr1.

no sense in continuing this, I just think it should of been handled in a different way and we are all lucky it happened with a bottom of the barrel team (even if you don't want to admit it)

OC said he had a great practice and responded well.

Also agree with mayo, KS needs to stfu here. Why say hammy and then talk about him getting outplayed. He really needs to learn how to say less and go watch some BB press conferences.

"No. It's not a doghouse. It's just a pretty simple thing," Shanahan said. "Trent Sherfield has played at a very high level every single day for the entire training camp. Aiyuk got off to a little bit of a slow start, and Trent was playing very well. Then when Aiyuk started to catch him, and, to me, was about to go by him, which was going to be the third preseason game, where I think you guys would have seen that, and he would have got that spot completely back, he tweaked his hamstring.

"And then he has about 10 days off, and his first practice was Wednesday before the Detroit game. So we planned on going into that completely rotating them and giving Trent the spot. One, because Aiyuk hadn't played a lot of football coming off the injury, and two, because Trent Sherfield earned it. And it was nothing more than that."

It may look like Aiyuk is getting the dog house treatment but he had the same snaps as Sherfield. Dog house treatment is Pettis getting 10 snaps after Sanu had just signed to the team earlier in the week, then outsnapped Pettis in the game that was played 3 days after Sanu signed (2020 week 2) .

I don't think Aiyuk's talent will be realized until Lance takes over. Deebo compliments Jimmy's game more than Aiyuk. Until then, I think we see a lot of Aiyuk clearing space for Deebo to attack underneath, which we saw vs DET.
I am getting sick of both the media and fans trying to make more of what is going on then there is on so many fronts. People say that Kyle lies all the time, I can not think of a time he has lied. 2 closest things to a lie was him saying that he like someone then we traded them a short time after. Just cause you trade someone does not mean you do not like them as a player. The only other thing was when the media asked him about mac jones for 20 mins before the draft and everyone thought Kyle then wanted Mac cause he talked about him. Go rewatch the press conference the media brought up mac and pressed on mac not Kyle.

This is a lot like that press conference. Kyle has stated exactly what is going on and people can not take him at his word or they try to not take the whole story and only use part of it. This is what I heard:
  1. Klye like Aiyuk a lot.
  2. Kyle likes Trent a lot
  3. Aiyuk got hurt which effected the practice time and therefore the game plan for wide receiver.
  4. Aiyuk is healing everyday which allows for more and more practice and therefore being in the game plan

People keep pointing to the punt return has him being more than healthy enough. Which is true by game time he was more healthy then he was in the week. That was later then when the scheme game plan master was sure that he was going to be healthy and was planning. You do not game plan punt return.

It is really simpler than people are trying to make it.
Not to mention why the f**k would you even want Kyle to tell the truth all the time. I prefer when the coaches keep their hand close to their chest.

Yeah that would of been better I believe. Let's hope this public message pisses off Aiyuk to start destroying cbs like at the end of last year when he was doing that regularly

Shimmy is cunning. Pure motivation in his public comments. We may not like it yet I bet it works.
kyle , rightly so, wants aiyuk to make sherfield look like chum and be a bonafide #1. i see nothing wrong with that.

pettis' situation was way different. that dude just needed to show he could make the roster.

That interview screams like a guy who read the newspaper clippings and thought all he had to do was show up. Sounds like he learned what he needed to learn and is gonna ball on Sunday. I'm expecting a big day from him.

Him debo kittle and sprinkle in Trent. Big day for Jimmy too. I'm liking it
Isn't it a great problem to have when Sherfield is that good that he's earned gametime snaps like he has? Let's all chill and enjoy Niners football
