There's the dog house then there's the two blocks behind it. But that is where Aiyuk is.

No it doesn't. Some people have that opinion, but the logic behind that opinion makes little sense.

Not looking good.

It's hurting us, not Aiyuk. They trade him and he'll breakout.

What part of him nursing a hamstring do any of you not understand?

Sometimes old school coachs have a boner for hard workers type of guys. It´s crystal clear that Aiyuk is the best WR in this team but well maybe he´s injured, maybe he doesn´t work his ass of, maybe the guy from the Cards is actually better than him (sic). All I know is that Shanahan should have every reasons to use Aiyuk specially because he ´s the one that drafted him in the first round in the first place.

Yes, there is something going on here. I like Sherfield as a deep threat and viable #3 WR, but he's not better than Aiyuk. And if it really was injury related in the game, he wouldn't have fielded punts. He's in the doghouse. We probably won't know why, but Aiyuk has had hamstring issues, so that could be effecting his performance, but not bad enough to keep him sidelined...?

Did you not catch Deebo's performance Sunday? Aiyuk now has a looooooong way to go if he wants to be the #1 guy on this team. Good problem to have.
What a disaster.

Yeah, it's a cluster f**k.
Off topic abit but they need to get Juice involved more also going forward. He is the fullback version of Kittle and is a mismatch nightmare out there. He is a weapon that needs to get 4 or 5 targets a game min. And they paid him over $5 Million per year.

WR Brandon Aiyuk is obviously extremely attentive and very strong rookie season? Is there any sense of an exhale there, like he took his foot off the gas pedal a little bit?

"Not totally. Anytime you do have a setback with a hamstring and you have a guy behind you playing as well as [WR] Trent's [Sherfield] played, I know Trent wasn't a first-round draft pick, so that might not be as obvious with the talent level, but he's been a hell of a football player since he's been here. Aiyuk's been a little inconsistent because he's been in and out with his injury. And that's what we felt was the best chance for us last week. Aiyuk's still got a chance to get that spot up and not rotate as much, Trent just doesn't make that very easy. So, these three days are important in practice, how we balance out our game plan, how we balance out our routes. And I'm happy with Aiyuk. It's nothing against Aiyuk. I'm just also happy with Trent too. And I think both of them can continue to get better."

Where does he, he just started his second season, Aiyuk, where does he still need to grow?

"I'm not trying to single out any specifics, because it's like every player you've got to grow in every single area. So, I know this is all kind of like we're punishing Aiyuk or something, because Trent got even reps with them or we rotated those guys. I'm not going to sit here and say, he's got to do the A, B and C to get back out there. It's more, we've been practicing the last month and one guy has been there every day and the quarterback's got a lot of confidence in him. I do. If he wants to be out there every single play, he's got to be a lot better than the guy behind him."

I think Kyle explained well enough.. Kinda like what we have all seen. Sherfield playing and showing more than what he's supposed to be. And Aiyuk sorta not 100% enough to make them leave Sherfield on the sideline.

Good problem to have. Deebo, Aiyuk, Sherfield

Deebo was in the "doghouse" at one point, I remember kyle saying he didn't show up in shape and that was a problem.

Deebo showed up this camp ready to role and is being rewarded with a s**t ton of first reads and wide open play-calls.
I don't see him getting many targets this Sunday either. Only because Kittle is going to go off. They got no Linebackers or safeties that can cover him. I see atleast 12 catches for him this game.

It's a great problem to have. Going into this season the wr depth was meh. If Sherfield continues to be productive then the depth is looking much better.
