Pretty concerning there. Sounds kind of like Petri's situation with the 2nd yr slump, drops, etc.

Based on the hammy, I feel like it's a conditioning thing.

They said something similar about Sermon learning how to be a pro. I'm
interpreting that as something outside of football and ShanyLynch are bumping them back in course.
Still waiting to see Aiyuk on the field with Deebo and Kittle…
You know what he's right

i dont remember beat writers saying he had a bad camp at all, weird take from maiocco
Kind of worrisome if this dude was big-timing it after a solid rookie season. He's the only major trade up acquisition that appears to have worked so I hope he gets it together.

Maybe that's the problem? His (lack of) conditioning led to the hammy, then led to the loss of snaps.
If we missed out on ceedee for kinlaw and aiyuk and this is correct, I'm going to be even more negative than I already am.
Just seems weird that this seems to have come out of nowhere. I mean I expected him to be WR1 going into the season. So this is disheartening.

it could be as simple as him snapping back at welker in a meeting or something, plus his strained hammy.

Hope he doesn't demand to be traded.
I feel everyone pointing at Aiyuk to be in Shanhan's doghouse like Pettis is a little bit overkill.

I feel we have seen this story play out before and it wasn't Pettis. Just look at Deebo last year. He had hamstring issues last year. He had a hamstring strain in week 7, was out a few games, then aggravated it in week 14.

Maybe Shanahan doesn't want this happening to Aiyuk this year.

I sure hope so.

Then why have him play at all? Why put him out there to return punts?
Another great pick by the front office
