Probably something to do with his weak hands. Has a tendency to miss and bat the ball up in the air, leading to interceptions. Was completely responsible for at least one from Mullens last year.

Shanahan is kind of overthinking things somtimes and being a stubborn mule at other times. I wish we could make him out OC and get a different HC. Never happen so you have to take the good with the bad. Aiyuk should have feasted today.

by design backshoulder throws are "underthrown"

THE PASS to Deebo was NOT underthrown by design.. no way... Deebo made an awesome play no doubt.. but EVERY QBs who played the game will never UNDERTHROW a bomb or a long pass..

I totally disagree with 9moon's gereal premise in this thread, but he is right about this. Not a chance that pass was thrown there by design.
