You know who also had all time legit return skills in college, Dante Pettis. How did that translate for him in the NFL?

John Taylor had 150 punt returns in his career, for 1500 yds. I have said on this forum multiple times that my comp for Aiyuk is Taylor. Meant to be.

That is just s**tty punt coverage, multiple pushes in the back and poor tackling imo.

Trent earned it, plain and simple. He was unquestionably the best performing receiver this training camp. Samuel has consistently worked his tail off and produced on the field. Aiyuk has the talent, but he seemed to lack the focus this preseason.

Especially considering the guy is our best WR talent. Played incredibly well last year with no off season and no name QBs. This isn't Pettis this is a legitimate WR1
