I agree that there seems to be some serious mental health issues going on. I think you have to factor in "Inesecurity" and "ego" to his actions - you have a guy who thinks very highly of himself but is also easily offended if someone doesn't say something flattering.

Ill Mental health, insecurity, and Ego (as a combination) can really make people do wild things - can make them very emotional and irrational.

As a football player, I feel like "Eff him". but as a human, on a personal level, I feel for the guy and his kids/wife. It'll be tragic if he goes broke and/or hurts someone.

I hpoe he comes to terms with "I need to focus on my mental health and get better - instead of playing ball right now". I think his financial repercussions are about to get a lot worse, from the team. Unless Jed genuinely feels bad for him and just lets the money slide. Which I think is unlikely.

Everyone in this situation has lost. 49ers lost a really good player, a lot of cash, and it messed up their team planning. Aiyuk lost tens of millions, his career, his reputation etc. Fans lost rooting for a player who was really good on their team. Just a sad situation overall.

All of that! This is where I am. As a fan I don't want him on my beloved 49ers. I'm not even sure if I even like the young man. But I've been addressing this from the human element. I can give for insecurity, ego, or even immaturity. But he's clearly showing signs of being in poor mental health and needs professional help. Admittedly, I sympathize with this aspects because I have firsthand experience with this in my own family. I watched a family member of mines lose everything - his wife, kids, friend, finances, and career - due to mental illness (specifically sever bipolar) that wasn't diagnosed until he already lost everything. Brandon Aiyuk is on that exact trajectory, and if he don't get professional help he'll have the same results.

Professional help-anyone who thinks that can fix him is delusional. The success rate in that field is about the same as that of drug addicts. My ex once threatened to leave me if I didn't see a psychiatrist so I did it her way. I went in and after 45 minutes I walked out of his office shaking my head thinking: this guy's more koo koo than I am!

As for no other team wanting him-If Terrion Arnold can get a 'workout' (Hou) I'm sure some team will kick the tires on Brandon.
