Aiyuk f**ked himself outta guarantees with the 9ers and Commanders by being a whiny little b***h. Doesn't he know Lynch and Commanders GM are friends? He seems to think that just because Jayden Daniels is the QB that he's entitled to go there.

Writing was on the wall, it never was about the $ he just wanted to be with Jayden. Other teams offered him more $ + picks and he shut them all down. Then threw a $120M contract into a fire, if I'm the commanders I'd be more concerned of his infatuation and relationship with our franchise qb than his behavior at this point

He should have never signed the deal if he really hatred it here. Trade would have happened at some point and he's most likely in DC with a bag of cash…..unless DC actually never wanted him.

Very rarely do you get to pick where and for how much as a NFL player….dude wasn't at that level.

The Niners can't even release Aiyuk right now because he's on the Reserve/Left Squad list. Before the team can do anything, he has to apply for reinstatement and actually get reinstated by the league. Until then, he's sitting in NFL limbo.

What's funny is that this appears to be entirely self-inflicted. Back in November 2025, Aiyuk stopped communicating with agent Ryan Williams and apparently assumed that was the same thing as firing him. The NFLPA, however, requires paperwork, not vibes. Then on June 26, 2026, he posted a video claiming he hadn't had an agent since November, only for reporters to check the NFLPA database and discover Williams was still officially listed as his representative. The next day, Aiyuk finally filed the Standard Representation Agreement termination paperwork, making the firing official. So after spending eight months believing he had no agent, he learned he had, in fact, been represented the entire time—a level of attention to detail that's hard to reconcile with someone calling other people stupid.

Which brings us to the next issue: if he just officially fired his agent this weekend, who's handling his reinstatement process now? The Niners certainly can't do it for him.

The irony is pretty rich. Aiyuk posts a video calling the Niners stupid, while simultaneously revealing that he didn't understand one of the most basic administrative requirements of NFL representation. Meanwhile, the Niners are simply following league rules. They can't move on from him until he gets reinstated, and they're also positioned to recoup more than $18 million in bonus money already paid, which can eventually be credited back to the salary cap once recovered.

At this point, the Niners look less like the dysfunctional party and more like the organization watching someone lock himself out of his own house and then blame the locksmith. What started as a dispute with the team has turned into a masterclass in how not to manage your career. The Niners didn't put him in limbo—he got there all by himself. What an absolute moron!

Yeah he should have played out his rookie deal then forced us to franchise tag him or trade him after his deal was up

Maiocco said niners could potentially claw back $13-18m. Is that accurate?? That's wild if true. I had thought it'd be $5m or so of his signing bonus.

$18m is a chunk. I wonder if Aiyuk understands the ramifications (related to $$ he has already received) of doing the things he has done.
