- The 49ers would like to trade Aiyuk. That would necessitate interested teams talking to him about his contract. Schefter had a report along these lines a couple months back (nobody could get ahold of him).

Agreed. The odds any tampering violation is found is extremely unlikely. But they could still investigate!

I was joking around before but Aiyuk's stupid posts may lead to a tampering investigation at least for Washington.

If you say you'll sign with them tomorrow if you're cut that certainly sounds like you know they are interested in signing you.

He's too stupid to even choose his words carefully to eliminate that type of narrative. A simple "if they want me" added would remove that.

While he can say that, he's making a case for an investigation.. if they want to proceed in that

as for trades, no word on Washington being one of those teams and if BA know he can sign a contract with out a trade is clearly tampering

Pretty sure Washington has been adamant in the media that they're not looking to trade for him which means they shouldn't be talking contract with him.

And my point was pretty clear…Aiyuk is making it sound like there is tampering. I would put money on if the NFL dug into it, they could find something. I'd be shocked if Aiyuk is so in on Washington simply cuz Jayden Daniels plays there but he hasn't heard a peep from Washington.

I'd bet Washington still inquired with the 49ers about a trade. They can kick the tires and ultimately conclude they wouldn't trade for him, for a variety of reasons. It would at least indicate their interest to him and been an opening to have a conversation about a future contract.

Like you, I wouldn't be surprised if they tampered here in some way. I think that's probably pretty common. Aiyuk's interest in signing there isn't evidence of tampering by itself though. I'm not sure by what process the NFL opens investigations, but I'd be surprised if the standard was low enough that this kind of comment would kick it off.

If trade talks did happen, wouldn't BA say trade me?

BA knows there's a contract waiting for him, which is tampering

BA doesn't make the trade, lol. His only role would be a willingness to rework his contract for an interested team. They could have those discussions, and Aiyuk can glean that a team is in fact interested in him.

They'll never say this out loud but I hope the owners are colluding to never sign this punk ass. Or asleast the commanders and Jed. Make him go to another team he doesnt want to go to.

Nah Peters is doing us dirty in this whole thing imo. I can't see him working with the 49ers. Reports from Commanders insiders are essentially that they have Aiyuk penciled in as their #2
He gon turn Panty Commandos back to Deadskins
49ers should release a WR, not Aiyuk just for s**ts n giggles lol....

I think you're figuring out what he says doesn't matter. That's the point.
Reports per Schefter is that the Commanders were weary of trading for him back at the draft. They must be more concerned.

Another thing that will hurt him is the media circus he is going to bring and that would follow him all season. If he plays poorly, the never ending stories about him fly. Teams factor this stuff into signing a guy because it's a distraction for the rest of the team.

I said it before but I dont think a team sign hims. I think he signs with a PS, at best. the league will make an example out of him and what he's done. the league doesn't want him in a situation he is happy with afte what he's done and done publically. thats my opinion.
Even if he passes a physical, clearly, at this point, he'll not pass a mental check Even Fent addicts will be like WTF

you want to think it doesn't but it does. plus there's more than just what he's saying that's he's unknowingly leaking
