Things will heat up in late August. Obviously, the 49ers are hoping at least two teams will have enough interest in him to make a trade rather than take a chance on FA hoping he chooses them (Commanders?). All it takes is one other team to show interest to yield a draft pick. That is the scenario I see happening.

I just don't see it happening. No team is gonna give up anything for him and take a chance of him not showing up at all. Even if they are able to contact him and he approves to get traded to team X and sign a new contract, can he be trusted?

Also, by end of Aug, teams already have their players in place and depth chart, so once again hard to see a trade happening. He will get cut when the FO wants to cut him. After that, he's gonna have little options available and I doubt he gets a meaningful contract. If I had to bet, it will be a 1 year deal with no guaranteed money.

Teams should be more concerned with his actual health, mental included, than anything else. Hasn't played in 1 1/2 years, very serious knee injury that has yet to be tested and whatever voices he's hearing telling him to wreck his own career.
He's done with football, not a single football related post from B.A.

this dude is a turd pile nobody gonna trade for him now.... he gets released and gets a low ball contract to make the redskins in camp

I don't see that as the reason he chose to ghost the team over rehab rules...but no one knows for sure.

I just don't think he's interested in playing football anymore

There is a Salary Cap Guy here i forgot his username but anyone know "penny for penny" what the 49ers have actually paid him up to this point? Because they did void his "Guaranteed" Money.

And i would like to think the 49ers or any other Organization have some kind of guards in place to prevent them from getting conned out of Millions. ETC ....Breach of Contract Or any other Avenues that can be pursued to re-coup that Money.

AB is the primary salary cap guy. Typecast is also a good contributor.

Aiyuk made just south of 50 million in 24-25, on his current deal.

The team voided future guarantees - what he was due this season going forward.

Niners may be able to attempt to claw back a good chunk of his signing bonus due to him abandoning the team but I'm not really sure how that works or if they will do it

'Good chunk' in this case meaning a small percentage of his prorated signing bonus for the season in which the breach occurred. A very small fraction of the 48+ million he was paid over the last two years.

He got a $23m signing bonus, a $22.855m option bonus in 2025 then he earned a $1.125m base salary in 2024 and a $1.17m base in 2025 which totals $48.15m in what he got from 2024-2025 for basically 7 games with us pos extension.
