I think Aiyuk's career will be over soon. How often does someone not play football for nearly 2 years then come back and play well? We play the Commanders at home this year, so if he's there, that will be interesting.

lol wut? My gripe (which I'm not even that mad about) is how dumb, obvious, and unnecessary that lie was. He doesn't have to say the way it is but he doesn't have to go out of his way to make such statements an obvious front. Idk for me it's just not that great of a look and unnecessary

The reality is that if someone actually is interested in getting Aiyuk, and using him this season, it makes sense to trade for him from us. The team would have to renegotiate a contract with Aiyuk.

We are more than likely going to hold him until final roster cut down. Which means he is going to miss all training camp - so be even more out of shape than he currently is. He won't be able to get acclimated to a new team or their play book. So getting him a week before the season and using a roster spot on him (the team that signs him), after missing football for as long as he has, doesn't make a ton of sense. He would probably have to take a PS spot and work his way up. If he's been doing the same kind of workouts that he did during his hold out - he's def super not in football shape. lol

At that point, he isn't really useful to a team for at least the first half of the year.

At the end of the day - that's really the only way he's useful to a team that's interested in him. The 49ers lose nothing by holding on to him. If they cut him now, the team gets nothing. if they hold him till last minute and cut him, they get nothing. I'd rather hold him cause it puts him in a worse position, like he put the team in last year.

Jed is a goof and shouldn't of said what he did but he's just trying to earn the team some trade bait. Is what it is.

Bipolar Brandon will be teamed up with Colin Crapperneck in a flag football league. They will sit around after games complaining about how their NFL careers were ruined, and will blame everyone in the world except for themselves.

You do?

Generally speaking
  1. Who's this Grant so-and-so with some idiot cockamamie take about the whole Aiyuk situation. I saw only a clip of some podcast thing he was on the guy supposedly works for NFLnetwork but he's a complete buffoon, wannabe sports commentator star. Oh the 49ers side of the sour relationship, they're completely to blame and being petty AF. Just let him go so he can get with his BFF Jaden Daniels and get absolutely no compensation in return for a guy who made his contract turn into a CF. This dude is a certified moron, no you've got it totally ass backwards idiot. The Niners don't have to do Jacks**t with BA right now, they've got months before they need to decide anything.

Jerrick Mckinnon would love to have a word. AND as always, the organization upstairs should have done an injury settlement but instead let him heal and in the end he went to the chiefs and won a SB.

Jerrick was a back up and not nearly the same player. Is he even in the league anymore

This, but he did win a ring. Imagine Aiyuk leaving us to another team and he wins a ring. I will no longer believe in Karma and no long strive to be a good person.

I was thinking that Aiyuk's career might end up more like Le'Veon Bell

Well said, maybe a team trades for him just to get him in camp but to your point he'd have to agree as well. Aiyuk doesn't have a good track record with that, he'll try to stick it to us anyway he can. Why would he agree to terms with a new team, take a massive pay cut to help the 49ers when he knows we'll cut him before week 1 and he can generate leverage as a FA. One thing is fore sure he's going to have to eventually show up or he'll be left on the "retired" designation
