B.A might be back on the roster this upcoming season if Jed York has a say in the matter.

That would suck

I'm sure Jed meant only if it's without guarantees

He's playing this so well lol. BA doesn't want to be here at all. Watch BA tweet tomorrow some s**t like f**k Jed lol

Is he though? I can't imagine them letting BA back in the building making the coaching staff go through all that being a huge distraction. Yet if we cut him when/if he does show up York looks like a two faced lair. From the perspective of a fan I love it but for him and potentially the way other players might view him after may not be positive

"Two faced lair?"

Who gives a flying F-WAD what "other players feel" or might view him? Who signs the season checks? Some dude named York. The only person any player needs to "care" about is Jed York. Plus, Kyle Shanahan is kind of important as is John Lynch. Besides, every single player on that 49ers team right down to the volunteer ball boy knows that Jed York lined up and paid out for BA. He gave that man a four-year deal worth MILLIONS. Do you have any idea how hard it is to get a contract like that? BA's response? FU** Y**! You can say a lot of things to Jed. But FU isn't a term I would use.

I'm glad the 49ers are being petty. f**k BA.

Simms laying it out like that is all I need to know about how Shanny feels about the entire ordeal.
Now Jed wants a possible return. What's this nonsense?

It's more that we aren't going to help out BA. But to look good to the NFLPA we say we're trying to get something in return. But the reality is f**k BA and his room temperature IQ

He's probably going to unload another car off the trailer. In front of the stadium. A very expensive car. What a clown. Imagine behaving like that after what he pulled.

I think it's unlikely, he's trying to just pump up his trade value. If a team actually wants him, and thinks we may want to keep him, they may offer more.

i think everyone knows we are cutting him eventually. So I doubt this moves the needle but possibly. I guess it doesn't hurt to try.

Well if he says he wants to hopefully make things work then cuts him as soon as he shows up. That would make him a "Two Faced Lair". We should care how players view the owner whether they are on the team or not especially with how we push "culture".

That doesn't make anyone two faced.. BA is still under contract and still a 49er. It's being professional

Professional would be to cut him and get rid of the circus rather than hold him ransom for a 7th round pick, even then who would trade with that contract attached?

Jed is being wise. By saying he is OK with a productive, humbled BA back on the team, he is leaving the door open. More importantly, he is building a value picture in case a team is willing to trade for him rather than risk another team jumping in line if he is released.

Nothing has changed. Jed is keeping the pot on simmer to keep BAs name in view. That's all.

There's no reason to cut him, he's pretty much retired.

why is that so hard to understand?
Bring him back. Work the ish out and get back on the field.
Keep him until we can't any longer to see if we can get something for him

We have nothing to lose keeping him and nothing to gain cutting him until we absolutely have to so I don't see the problem here

I said this would happen so let's just wait and see

We wil have to cut him eventually though or else $26M of his contract is on the books by week 1 in September.

Either that or we find a trade partner and he accepts to rework his contract so we don't end up with huge amounts of dead money.

After looking into this, we actually wouldn't be on the hook for anything. His guarantees are gone and after being put on the reserve left squad list, he not only doesn't count toward the cap or 53, he is not entitled to any of his salary. He would have to actually report to earn anything.

We literally hold maximum leverage and don't have to do a thing lol. He either reports and plays for us or we find a trade and he reworks his deal to get outta town.
