We are 100 percent going to take a dead cap hit. *I wouldn't necessarily describe that as hitting our pockets. I think this is an important piece to understand specifically in relation to this situation*
And it's not up to the team to let him 'rot there'. It's up to Aiyuk.
He's going to be released. We'll see if they decide to take the entire cap hit in 2026, or if they spread it over '26-'27 with a post-June 1 designation.
