BA is untradeable. He's not even worth a 7th in 2027 at this point. He'll be released

He put himself in a bad situation. His reputation is going to follow him wherever he goes. And don't be surprised if the team nullifies his contract and claws back some of what he already has been paid. I would keep him as long as possible and trade him to the Browns or Jets. I definitely would not trade him to Washington because that's where he would like to go. Anyway, it's going to be interesting to see what happens

Dude is going to get a 1 year contract for $2 million somewhere on a prove it deal. Could have had $120 million if he just showed up and did his rehab. Plus he will get divorced, bad investments, spend too much of his guaranteed money that he got. He will be broke in 5 - 10 years. Probably on drugs and alcohol too. Such a high trajectory in life. Threw it all away. It's astonishing.

Happy Trails, Aiyuk. Get some help, step away from the game, or take a hard look in the mirror.

And wasn't he the player in our last Super Bowl who was going to make maybe the game winning TD catch if someone had made their proper block?

Kyle Shanahan on the last time he spoke to Brandon Aiyuk:

"I would say the last time it stopped for me was when I tried to get a hold of him and couldn't. Tried a couple more times and couldn't. And that matched everyone else who tried to get a hold of him and couldn't. There's… pic.twitter.com/UKVvo5kko5

LEFT SQUAD
Rather than a holdout or an excused absence, this list is for players who simply leave the team. Once a team places a player on this list, they have 5 days to return to the team. If they do so within 5 days, the club can add them back to the roster (if a spot is available), or cut them as they so choose. Once 5 days have passed, the player can be placed on the Reserve/Retired list, added to the active list (if room is made), or waived. If they ever decide they want to play football again, a player seeking reinstatement from retirement can only play for their original club. In this case, the player does not accrue any seasons for the year spent on reserve, and their contract is "tolled"; a contractual term that describes a pause in the progression of the contract. For example: A player would be paid at their 2013 rate in 2014 if their contract were tolled for the 2013 season.
This happened this year with the Broncos' John Moffit and the Redskins' James Davis, who each left their team (and football entirely) during the preseason. Players on this list do not count towards roster limits
Why should we release Aiyuk? We need not do him any favors. Leave him on the left squad list the next ten years effectively cooking his NFL career until he reports and THEN we can cut him. There's no rush to do anything with him. He costs us no money and he takes up no roster spot. If he wants to play again he's going to have to show his face at HQ and then we can tell him to f*** off and then fine him and cut him

"Players who have left their team or stopped playing NFL football but have yet to submit retirement papers. This player does not count against a team's roster limit or its salary cap.
I would not cut him. I would leave him on the left squad reserve list until either he or another team contacts me. The ONLY way he'd play in this league again is if he showed up to HQ and reported

He'll get more than 2m, but definitely a prove it deal. I'd say somewhere along the lines of 2 year 25m by some dole franchise like the Raiders, although I can totally see KC attracting him to pair up with Mahomes.

Yup. Damn shame. He's gonna get cut and if he plays again it's gonna be a cheap one yr prove it deal.
Yep, and I think BA will bounce back and be himself for another team. He looked explosive and fluid during the only time he showed on the field in Las Vegas.
He's only going to make Niners' fans hate him more as time goes on. I think he's going to sign a short deal with a team that has a good QB with a WR-friendly offense, have a good year and then fleece another team into paying him afterwards.
Yep. KC will likely be his landing spot if he's willing to take 15m per year for a 2 year deal. If he wants a one year deal he'll probably get 16-18 to play in LV.

LOL
That's pretty crazy. You can definitely tell he's not faking it and really feels this way. He didn't try to give any coach speak or talk about "we are handling this internally and we have no comment"
I mean this quote from TJ is pretty telling. (Who's been his WR coach_
"Man, to me, it's crazy," Houshmandzadeh said Thursday on 95.7 The Game's "Willard & Dibs." "I'm going to be honest. Number one, there's just no way in hell I fight for every dollar that I want, and now I'm going to give up millions. I don't understand it. They offered you 28 [million], you didn't want 28. You wanted 30 and you were not fine until you received it. You get it, and now you let it go, because you don't want to show up to meetings. You don't want to go to your rehab.
"He's going to get to my age and regret that. I promise you that. He's going to regret it because you never make that money up. So if you're a coach and you're an organization, I want him on my team because he's a good player, but ain't no way in hell I'm paying him millions and millions of dollars. I'm not giving him 20 million, and you just let 30 go. So, I wish him the best. The decisions he's making, I don't believe it's a smart decision.
"But hey, man, some people like the game and some people love it."
So it basically seems like he didn't want to put in the effort to show up and go through another grueling rehab process. He showed up to get his bonuses in the summer and then he probably figured he could take his time to get healthy and collect some easy money. I'm sure at one point Kyle/Lynch got upset with his lack of rehab effort, said something to him and he got all butt hurt.
I don't believe this had anything to do with a change of heart and him wanting to go WAS or wherever, bc I'm sure his agent would've advised him that they won't just release him so he can go wherever he wants, and he has little trade value bc of his contract and him being injured again.
