There's zero reason to cut Aiyuk at this point. Hasn't shown up or communicated with the team and we gain nothing.

Hope the niners get all the $$ back they can
She seeking her next victim... this gonna be her new sugar daddy

Who gives a s**t what BA says at this point? He's basically not part of the team anymore. One of the most bizarre things I've ever seen in sports.

If only we didn't low ball at 26M to begin the negation… Maybe none of this would have happened

File this take in with the others that have aged like milk, re: Skyy Moore & Alfred Collins

Lol I'm being sarcastic making fun of those blaming the front offices negotiation skills and how this all rooted from that.

Alfred hasn't looked good, the jury is still out on him. Skyy definitely making some noise but wasn't doing anything first half of the season. Why you following me around hating?
Might've blamed the Niners for his knee injury derailing and endangered his football career.

Maybe if he had shown up to TC instead of catching balls against trees he could've protected himself better.

I want our team to win games and win deals whether that be contracts draft picks trades or whatever. The moment we inked Aiyuk to a long term deal we got screwed. Now that the dust settled what did we get for our money?

25 catches for $50M. Man that ain't 💩! BA wok this deal and good for him and bad for us. I don't want to see another repeat of this going forward. Maya Angelou once said "when someone shows you who they are believe them the first time". Dude had too many signs that inking him was gonna be a bad deal and especially when all we preach is bringing in the right guys and character and whatnot.

We don't need players acting as if they've had no fathers in their lives or not enough attention when it's time to do a deal and especially when we're trying to pay players already under contract to reward them early

It was only $50mil for 25 catches because he got a gruesome injury. If he wasn't injured he would have put up his #s eventually.

The 9ers showed who they were when they CHOSE to leak contract details during negotiations. They broke the trust first. Aiyuk returned the favor and played the media game as well. We shouldn't be homers about this. Our front office took too long trying to sign him, and the $$$ went up because of other WRs getting signed to big deals. If you feel you missed out on a good or fair deal, by your own fault, then you move on and don't get desperate and pay way more than you were going to be happy about and not buyers remorse.

The moment they took too long to sign him...and $$$ was too high because of other WR deals.. the 9ers should have traded him, even if it meant it was to a team giving us less.

You had me up until the trade part. They were trying to win a Super Bowl. Trading your best receiver for less and trying to win a SB do not go together. They should've just been proactive with a deal in 2022 after the first 1k season or even tried to ink him in season in 2023.

How do you evaluate DTs?

Alfred Collins has looked just fine as a rookie DT.

Kyle really shouldn't continue to comment on the issue, imo. He's already commented on it right after the decision was made. If the media pushes on it, just say you're done commenting on it. What's done is done, you're looking forward to this week.

but he chooses to give the media more stuff. Gives Aiyuk more attention. From today...

"I didn't get to hang out around Aiyuk much since he tore his ACL in Week 7 (of the 2024 season)—I think versus Kansas City," Shanahan said. "So, we've been trying to get him back to our team, really, since then, and haven't been able to pull that off. So, haven't totally had the opportunity to get him part of our team."

Shanahan painted a clearer picture of Aiyuk's lack of involvement: "He's been extremely distant since he got hurt, and was hoping it would happen once he got healthy, but it never happened."

yet from this past July...

On Tuesday, offensive coordinator Klay Kubiak praised Aiyuk's dedication and involvement despite being sidelined.

"It's been awesome," Kubiak said. "He's out there every day. He's with those guys. He's very much a part of the position group, meaning he's not just isolated, doing his rehab, and then being around the building. He's in the individual drills with them. He's on the field.

"When we are in meetings, he's engaged. When we're at walkthroughs, he's with those guys. He's helping Hank (wide receivers coach Leonard Hankerson) kind of coach on the side."

Most expect Aiyuk to begin the season on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list, which would require him to miss at least the first four games. The 27-year-old receiver posted career-best numbers in 2023, hauling in 75 receptions for 1,342 yards and seven touchdowns, which led to a four-year, $120 million contract extension.

However, Aiyuk's production dipped in 2024 following a training camp "hold-in" as he sought a new deal. Before his injury, he managed just 25 receptions for 374 yards and no touchdowns.

The 49ers are hopeful Aiyuk can bounce back from his devastating setback and help the team rebound from last season's disappointing 6-11 finish.

"I'm real happy with B.A. right now, with where he's at," Kubiak added. "Obviously, he's doing his rehab and he's doing what he has to do to be ready to go."

like I understand his position coach isn't going to want to throw him under the bus if this stuff wasn't true..or any truth to it. But the fact that he chooses to go into detail about HOW he's being engaged with his teammates and coaches....I mean..that sounds genuine.

Lol Kyle can say whatever the f he wants and you just gave it more attn by posting here lol
From everything I have gathered, the dude quit on his team.

The end.
Folks continue to beat the hell out of this dead horse.

The only thing left to determine is how BA makes his final exit, most likely via post-June 1st cut, but perhaps via trade.
