This is either an unmitigated disaster for the organization, or he simply did not come back the way the docs expected and needs another 6 months, if it ever heals up right. Well find out next year.

Signing the contract was already the unmitigated disaster. Not what is happening now. Now it's morning in the 49ers' organization again.
Great WR, terrible attitude. Have fun in Ren-hole NV, the dumpster fire of the west. Is Kap still there? Maybe they can complain together.

The true lesson learned is to take into account how players act during negotiations. If they act a fool and turn it messy, go to the media, etc then know that at any point in the relationship it will most likely happen again. Look how Bosa, Warner, Kittle, CMC have treated negotiations, just kept quiet and they let the agents handle it. No BS drama.

And that was Aiyuk's problem with the front office. Trust issues. THEY went to the media first and leaked the details of their contract offer during negotiations, something Aiyuk and his agent were told things would get kept in house. Aiyuk returned the favor, yet folks get mad at him? The F.O. didn't learn from past player negotiations.

So yes Aiyuk is actually taking your advice. If they did it before... they will do it again. And they did. They leaked the recent stuff to get ahead of the story.. to push the narrative. Aiyuk has kept quiet and just looking forward to getting the hell out of this craziness/old boys club.

Didn't know there was a list for left-squad. lol
Since Marathe voided his guarantees in the 4th day of TC it was clear for them that Aiyuk wasn't going to play this season and since that day Shanahan and Lynch were lying about his potential comeback by week 6 or maybe later.

This marriage should never had happened. Unless the receiver is Jefferson, Chase or Nacua you don't extend him because you can get that same production from a receiver in his rookie contract.

The only skill position that you can extend if the guy is really good is TE because having a TE that can catch and block at an elite level is the biggest matchup nightmare for a defense and a TE won't ever be has expensive as a WR.

Aiyuk was an elite run blocker at his position. one of the top blocking WRs in the NFL. part of the reason Kyle wanted him back.
so does this new designation save the team even more money? PFT mentions this...

It also possibly opens the door to partial forfeiture of his $23 million signing bonus from 2024 and/or his $22.855 million option bonus from 2025.

Damn this must of been one of the biggest F up by an NFL player. How do you put yourself in a position to lose that much money?

Yes but with break away speed, Vernon Davis... George Kittle... hell Delanie Walker was one hell of a signing for the Titans (and the team and fans loved him).

Unless you get a game breaking WR. Imo that could have been Deebo for us, if we didn't over use him at RB. Having a WR that can take it to the house from anywhere on the field... who can break tackles... who actually caught the ball? If yall go back and watch the Eagles revenge game in Philly, it's Deebo getting two huge TDs for us from short passes and taking them to the house. It's not easy finding a player like that, yet we waste his body running him in the 4th QTR of games, that are basically over, in the middle of the season. (Similar to what we have been doing to a generational talent in Christian McCaffrey 🤬)

I could be wrong but I don't remember that transpiring with the other players I mentioned. It just got done when it got done. None of that BS that Deebo and BA had going on. But like I said, I could be wrong and misremembering everything.

I hope so. That would be the only good thing to come out of this.

Y'all have to be careful for what you wish for. This can backfire.

true. so many clips of him creating lanes downfield...
I called it when he held out and went scortched earth public about it. Should have cut his ass then. Aiyuk was one of my favorite 49ers at one point and is now one of my most hated players in the NFL. I hope he goes to some s**t team and has a very mediocre career from here on out, and I hope the first time me play him, someone on our defense lays him the eff out.
