Soft as baby 💩 or room temperature butter. Take your pick. He needs to go a soft, non competitive team like Miami, Washington, or Arizona. Man 49ers can really pick the divas at WR. Back to back clowns. 🤡
His leg definitely isn't 100%. It makes sense to just keep rehabbing until all hurdles are cleared (mentally / physically)

He already got paid a lot of money and been "GONE" for quite some time now... he doesn't want to be here, time to move on

Got his bag. Recently went on BIG shopping spree (mansion, whip, bling, new wifey, etc.)... most of that bag is probably near spent

Wouldn't doubt that he's plotting / banking on chances of making much more once he proves he's fully recovered. Meet the new VICTIM

I don't think it's about Kyle and more about the FO…but you know that doesn't fit your narrative
Or maybe its about Aiyuk being a huge b***h.

BA has always been a bit of a pain. In his rookie year, Shanahan had to get on him hard about his training and practice habits. He did respond but it may be that BA never felt comfortable with Kyle. He accepted them because he knew that was the only path to money. Now he has received a LOT of money, enough that he can raise his middle finger to Shanahan and go his own way, whatever that is.
If he sees this as somehow raising the middle finger to Shannahan he's a nut and very likely in for a rude awakening.

That episode with wearing the wrong color shorts and pushing back against Shanahan, a petty deal, comes pretty close.

I loved him as a player. He was not only a very good route runner, with reliable hands, he was also a very good blocker. However, attitude means so much in a team sport like football that it cannot be excused.

I think the 2026 contract guarantees were voided for a more specific disciplinary reason and "he didn't show up to meetings" is just a cover-up. What the real reason is is anybody's guess, but it would be extremely unfair to even speculate it.

I agree about reason for voiding the contract and the reason to avoid speculation. Only bad will come from the latter.
Oh, no, a "lost season". Pfft, SYBAU.

You have no idea what role, if any, Kyle had in the voiding of the contract. What we do know is that Kyle said it was all business and contract stuff that he has nothing to do with.

What we do know is that BA has implied, rather strongly, that he feels underused on a run first team in San Francisco.

Interesting revelations from Coach during today's news conference.
1. This contract stuff with BA took place in JULY. It's now late NOVEMBER. Nobody on the team or in the FO said a word about this.
2. The 49ers are very, very, very good at not letting juicy tidbits leak out here and there.
3. So why did it leak yesterday? My guess, and it's just a guess, is that the 49ers decided it was time to leak it out.
4. WHY? And WHY NOW?

#1 and #2 are almost unheard of these days. Speaks well of the organization.

#3 and #4 are really interesting. On the page (1458) after your post, someone posted a snippet of what appears to be a current interview where Aiyuk says something suggesting the 49ers don't want him. Just a snippet without context, but very weird.

one read is that Aiyuk wants out of SF and is trying to claim that the 49ers have created some sort of hostile workplace or conspiracy and have violated the contract. Effectively in the early stages of the NFL version of suing for breach-of-contract in order to both get paid and get out. The organization could be publicly establishing that they want Aiyuk and there is no hostility from their end, but that Aiyuk may actually be in breach of his contract.

I really suspect this is all positioning to determine how much Aiyuk gets paid when he leaves.

Lynch and Shannahan seem to be straight shooters who treat people respectfully (#1 and #2 fit into that). Aiyuk seems to be the problem. Getting $25 million voided is obviously a red flag the size of California. I hope he is a big enough fool to get his whole contract voided. The guy is bad news.

edit: I really meant how much it costs to part ways with Aiyuk. No idea how this works in the NFL, but could be positioning to try to reduce the dead money hit?

Is he referring to the voiding of the contract or the extending of Aiyuk? If it's the later, then yes, it didn't work out so well.

I know I was in the minority with both Samuels and Aiyuk, but I am not a proponent of giving players a big boy contract/extension based on 1 year of excellence when there is still a year or more on the existing contract unless we're getting a discount. In both cases, we didn't get a discount. In both cases, the results were poor.
