Aiyuk not cleared to practice in week 12. You know what that means. It's a 18 week season and 17 games. He always was a 2 year injury anyway. You will just get him hurt again if you bring him back before he's ready. I always saw 2026 as more realistic for him. The injury was serious. We don't know if he will ever be the same. Pretty likely we won't see him until next year.

This is why I reiterate

If you have one year left on your contract, and you don't report to TC. No more negotiating a new deal. You now get to play out your contract and I reserve the right to franchise tag you the following offseason so we can do this dance all over again

Reason being it sure seems holdouts get their new deals reported late to camp or right prior to the season. After which they come in out of football shape and they either underperform the new deal OR they get injured and either way that's bad money spent

Case in point Brandon Aiyuk

That said, I hope he makes it back and plays like he did in 2023

Feels like we tried to Trade him a the deadline, but no one wanted him. Now we are stuck with someone that we don't want. I guess we will have to wait till the offseason to see what they do with him.
