Id wait awhile- like year 3 of Pearsall's deal lol. Or until another true WR2 on a rookie deal emerges.
Aiyuk won't come back this season. Even if he comes back by thanksgiving or later he won't be the Aiyuk we know.

We must roll with Pearsall/Jennings/Robinson this season.

Yup

that is why we paid Brock the big bucks. We figure he can run a top five offense with CMC Ricky Jj D Rob and Kittle so let's see it

That was never realistic. I figured best case scenario, we see 2022 Aiyuk, which is still pretty damn good. If we get any semblance of Aiyuk from the first three years, the receiver room and offense by extension is elevated. Aiyuk, Kittle, Jennings, an emerging Pearsall, and Robinson are good enough to make teams respect the passing game and long ball enough that running lanes should open for CMC, Robinson, and hopefully Guerendo and James
.

The receiver that I think will be IR'ed for the year is Cowing. Limited camp and hasn't shown enough to use one of our designated to return spots

It seems like the 49ers always have a receiver like Cowing on their roster. Some guy that is fast but can't ever stay healthy. Too small to be a real force on the field. They have different names but they're the same receiver.
Hearing he's weeks away. I don't see them rushing him back and we don't even know how effective he'll be this year. Bourne and Robinson have really stepped up and then Pearsall and Jennings will be back soon.
Hopefully he doesn't rush back. They are not a team that will compete for a SB with their short comings. Would rather he get 100% healthy for next season.
Hope he can get back to get right before the playoffs to help out the WRs & this offense

They was not a team that could beat the Rams either with all their short comings, in particular the injuries. But IMO it's too early to count them out yet. Our rookies are continuing to get better and more experience and we will get more players than just Aiyuk back as the season progresses.

Not punting the season at 4-1. If the 9-7 2011 Giants can squeak into the playoffs and get a ring, so can these 49ers. If he is in any capacity to contribute, he should.

The way I see it is, there are three categories of teams:

1. Serious Super Bowl contenders
2. Teams that are looking to make the playoffs, but their ceiling is pretty much losing gracefully in the Divisional round to a team in category #1.
3. Teams that are clearly tanking/developing.

This team is currently category #2, but they COULD jump to category #1 in the next month depending on how things go and if they trade for a Bosa-replacement.

This was always a 2 year injury. He had a very severe knee injury. People thinking otherwise were being unrealistic.

Been saying the same since this summer. Anyone who thinks Aiyuk can return this season, at full strength mind you, is probably dreaming. This was a horrible injury.
If Cowing and Watkins come back and are able to stay healthy, this group might actually be pretty good.

Pearsall, Cowing, and Watkins all have speed. Robinson has experience and route-running savvy. Jennings has the height, power, hands, and RAC ability. Plus Kittle returning soon.

Depending on how things look later in the year, we might be able to afford to keep Aiyuk on the active roster and inactive until fully healthy if he was close but not quite there yet.

💯 Get others WR rest and less injuries
So now he's back to unfollowing the team lol
