The more I think about it, the more I wish they had traded Aiyuk and paid Jennings. We could have locked Jennings up for half of what we paid Aiyuk.

If we had traded Aiyuk, I wonder how people would view that decision now assuming the season played out mostly the same. It'd probably be viewed as poorly as the decision to trade Buckner.

Nah. I'm not denying BA's talent, but dude seems like he is not about the Niners. He seems miserable here for no dang apparent reason.

Unfortunately you can say that about a lot of WRs. How often have we seen good ones complain that they aren't being used enough or holding out for more money. Stephon Diggs is complaining. Tyreek Hill apparently wants out of Miami. I suspect that if there was a salary cap and free agency back in the 80s, we would have seen John Taylor leaving SF for more money or complaining that Rice was getting all the targets.

Dont make excuses.

Dudes butt hurt Deebo got to go to the up and coming Commanders with his boy Jayden and he's stuck with the rebuilding 9ers, a blown out knee, QB that can't throw more than 50 yards, and a fan base that doesn't like him

If the Commanders wanted him he would be a Commander. He could have always told them he would take much less to play for them and then a trade could have been worked out between both sides. But no BA wanted $30 Million per season and there is no way the Commanders were giving him that. The 49ers were fine with trading BA but it was BA that made it tough to find a trade partner. And when they did it was BA who nixed it because there was only a couple of teams he would extend with.BA wanted the $30 Million, plus get to dictate where he ends up.

Absolutely!!! He was set to go to Cleveland but shut that down. And I wanna say New England too was close to trading for him? And he was locked in at Pittsburgh but Shanahan saved him.

Exactly, he wanted his cake and eat it too, we negotiated with the commanders and they felt he wasn't worth that contract now he has signers remorse. Imagine where we'd be if Adam Peters was promoted to GM a few years ago

Right not sure if sarcasm or just being emotional…whole lot of emotional fans over BA.

I would imagine Santa Clara?
Why do people think he has signers remorse? Cause he doesn't have a charismatic personality?

dudes wealthy, near where he grew up, and when healthy damn good. It's a shame he got hurt and especially how it happened cause he did the whole hold out and came in playing like crap and then got injured.

im hoping he comes back strong but im expecting him to miss the first 4-8 weeks.

And while I was a fan of Peters and didn't want him gone…folks act like he had zero part in SFs drafts that were less than stellar.

also for having the 2nd overall pick and 6 picks in the top 100 (in 2024) I wouldn't call that a collection of great players (still super early to tell) Yes they had the 2nd overall pick and got a great QB, but man outside of Sainristil who else was part of this massive great draft class?

Fans get emotional because a player got emotional…like it's their money or BA owes them someone for playing on a team they like. NFL fans can be real fickle lol.

He's a damn good football player and we desperately need him going forward. He matters a ton scheme wise and just from a player standpoint to just go make a play. Not a single fan here hated the way he played football. Now they're all butthurt because he did whatever he could to get paid because in this sport one play can end it all (which is what we saw).

I'm guessing they will easy him back into everything. I think his knee overall will be "good" come the start of the year, he isn't gonna be in football shape though.
