Asking price doesn't matter, similar to Deebo we would have to let him find the team he wants to go to or he could veto the trade with his attitude.

Not really my man. You aren't seeing this clearly.

The problem here is that we aren't going to get any kind of good offer because he is injured. If we trade him it will be a pure salary dump without much coming back.

It will....maybe a 3rd. Blame BA for shutting down a 2nd, 5th and Cooper trade.

I think we jump at a 3rd. Would expect worse.

As long as he wants to go to a particular team. This isn't Madden.

What if we trade him for a 3rd and then sign Cooper in FA right now?

B.A has more leverage now with that contract, he can simply tell a team he doesn't want to play for them or that he will not show up to camp. Thats not the guy most teams are looking to trade for.

You're not only mistaken but you aren't factoring the extremely reduced asking price in terms of trade assets from this offseason to last.

That's just flat out wrong.

No, what we forget as fans is that these players talk to potential free agents and if you are getting on the wrong side of players, free agents won't want to come here. We have to treat these guys right so that they are sending out tweets similar to what Deebo said while on his way out.

This has to be one of the most overstated sentiments I've seen on this board.

Just the reality, once again this isn't Madden.

The reality is that money and winning talks and the rest of it is b******t.

If this is the case, why isn't B.A. a Steeler right now?
He wanted to go to the Commanders

Because the 49ers wanted him here (well some of them at least, lol), and Aiyuk wanted to stay at the price we eventually agreed to.

This year, isn't last year.

This point has nothing to do with the idea that we need to let players dictate how they are handled in trade to not piss off incoming free agents, lol. You want to lure free agents? Be a good team in a good location and pay $$$

Of course thats part of it, but you also have to treat guys right.

B.A's contract offers security against that emotional stuff.
