Some of you genuinely equate a torn ACL to a fully amputated leg. This isn't 1985.

It's most likely he is fully available for camp but sits out preseason. And somewhat likely he misses the first two games. Literally every time the media checks in on his recovery they say he's ahead of schedule. They don't need to say that. They tell us Drake Jackson is way behind in those same conversations.

Yes. The niners paid him taking the cap hit and he doesn't have as much control without the will not re-sign threat, which puts more teams in the mix.

But the knee is what tanks his trade value

Right on.

What are you even trying to argue here? He's literally improved statistically every season until last year when he missed camp because of the holdout and then tore his knee up. Are you saying he sucks because he got paid?
No I'm saying he's always been above average at best and greatly benefitted from the talent around him and when teams shifted some focus to him after he was paid as a #1 he didn't look like a #1WR to me.

To be fair, Aiyuk didn't have an off season. rust was expected.

In 2023 his best season, he had way more targets then anyone else with 100+. Deebo had around 60. He's been operating as out #1 WR since. You're basing your whole argument off of 6 games last year.

No I'm not,I'm basing it on the fact that CMC Deebo & Kittle being on the field created favorable matches up for him & the offense took advantage of that, prior to last season Aiyuk was rarely if ever the focal point of opposing defenses once they started paying him the big $ & with CMC out those defenses shifted some focus to him and I wasn't impressed with what I saw from him,now maybe that was simply due to rust but I have my doubts.

That's certainly possible,but I have my doubts.

I hope Aiyuk can come back and at least be a #2 receiver, cause he isn't a #1 anymore.

If he is still here he will be rusty again this year also.

USELESS to this team now... he got his money and the hunger went away... this team needs to find those hungry players...

ACL, MCL and other damage. He had a horrendous knee injury. It's not run of the mill. The surgical techniques are better and the science advanced. But his injury is really bad. No guarantee he will be the same with that.

You're amazing sir. Your ability to tell the future while also getting inside the psyche of the players from your couch is truly special.

Thank you Sir.. You continue to wear them blinders and it prevents you from seeing what is obvious... the moment YUCK posted that " DON'T FORGET HOW YOU GOT HERE " was enough to realize what kind of person he is..

The guy is a very good player, but we can win w/o him.

Adrian Peterson had a similar injury in 2011 on November 20. He came back week 1 of next season and ran for over 2k yards and won MVP which hasn't been done by a RB since then.

Not saying it's a slam dunk BA has a similar recovery and RB and WR(who lives off his route running) are different things BUT as okdkid implied, it's not like he lost a leg. If he's ahead of schedule in his recovery like mentioned it's not crazy to think he can make a full recovery. Now maybe he won't be back to 100% right away but let's see what happens and not bury him already.
