He's easily our best WR in years and even when rusty he was key to helping our offense. Guys come back from injuries all the time. He's only 26 years old with modern science and rehab methods.
You don't leave the team devoid of talent when this WR class isn't even very good. Would be a super reactionary and bad move to trade him.
I still think he could be traded if the draft comp was fair.
Last year showed our offense works without him and with Deebo being a shell of himself.
Our offense was far from good last year. Look at how it worked with him before and then after Aiyuk got hurt. Big drop in production from the passing offense.
If you pay him trading him now would be gross mismanagement.
We were a top 5 offensive team as far as moving the ball we were absolutely putrid at finishing drives. Top 5 team isn't far from good.
I mean scoring is important isn't it? And like I said go look at the production with Aiyuk on the field and then without. Or check Brock's numbers without Aiyuk out there.
He is very important to the offense. We can't always get teams playing zone most of the time like the Bears did or having a beat up defense like the Lions to feast on.
We were a top 5 passing team without Aiyuk. I don't consider Aiyuk a red zone threat who improves our red zone efficiency. I may be wrong but it's clear this team can move the ball without Aiyuk. Getting a better OLine will improve the red zone efficiency more than getting Aiyuk back. CMC of course will get us back to being a top red zone team as well.
Trade BA, cut Juice and get another stud TE. Run 2 TE sets.

If we can't put up points without BA then BP shouldn't be getting top 5 money. Remind me who (outside of the rental of moss) Brady was throwing to again? We would still have Kittle, CMC, a 1000 yard Jennings, a 1st round WR in pearsal out there.
BA brought these discussions on himself by going public in a holdout and then showing up and s**tting the bed with 0 tds and less than 50 yds a game. If they can get a 2nd or 3rd for him I'd send him away in a heartbeat. Beef up the lines and see what we can do.

Add Bosa and CMC to this as well. Bloated contracts

The best option would be a post 6/1 Trade
2025 Dead Cap: $4,600,000
2026 Dead Cap: $13,800,000
2025 Savings: $6,591,000
All other options in getting BA off this team would hurt us
"Would hurt us" depends on the return. Few would be complaining about dead cap if they liked the trade comp. And you want 2025 picks. Not 2026.
Are you sure about this?
I'm not sure about anything related to contracts and cap space but, as I understand it, this is very similar to Deebo's case.
If the niners trade Aiyuk post-June they will have a $18,4M cap hit divided btwin this and next year. As you said:
2025 Dead Cap: $4,600,000
2026 Dead Cap: $13,800,000
this same cap hit ($18,4M) would come entirely this year if the trade is made before June. But that's all.
But then there are the "contract triggers" occurring this year before June 1st:
- April 1st: 2025 season's $4M and 2026's $16M (a total $20,875M) become fully guaranteed. If I'm not wrong (and there are ample possibilities that I'm) these almost 21M have to be accounted against the cap, one way or another.
- Also April 1st: as OTC puts it:
"Another $31 million in injury guarantees vest on April 1, 2025."
I have no clue how this 31M count against the salary cap but I guess that it has to be also accounted one way or another.
So if all the above is correct is far better to trade Aiyuk before April 1st. But I coul be so wrong,... AB81's help would be very appreciated
2025 Dead Cap: $18,400,000
2025 Savings: $-7,209,000
Post 6/1
2025 Dead Cap: $4,600,000
2026 Dead Cap: $13,800,000
2025 Savings: $6,591,000 (This could be potential roll over for 26)

There not going to trade yuk unless they clean house.
It makes much more sense to trade CMC first as he's older and has not looked as good coming back off injury.
Yuk may be as good as before and he's still young.
If CMC gets traded then I will think yuk might be on the block. Until then it's just noise.

If Age and big dollars is an issue, then they need to pick OL and move off Trent soon
Aiyuk is on his prime. Id want good picks and a replacement like Tee Higgins to move him

CMC only had one and part of another games when he came back. Then he had another injury unrelated to the achilles tendinitis. Let's see how he looks this year before we start pronouncing him washed up.

Not exactly noise. Ownership public said they were unhappy with some these ridiculous contracts.

Kawakami says otherwise....and Lynch has now traded away Deebo whom he said he wouldnt trade at the end of year presser and opened the door to move BA at the combine while also talking about how the 49ers have alot of high priced salaries and the need to get younger.

It isn't, as CMC is far a more logical candidate for a rebuilding team to unload. They probably won't do this as they value CMC too highly, but at the end of the day CMC is an NFL RB with history of injuries and has a condition that isn't good long-term. He is also making the most money at his position.
Aiyuk is younger, has less wear and tear even with the existing torn MCL and ACL, and is not making top money for his position.
What will happen however is that CMC will stay on the Niners until he is fully broken (hopefully not this season but in a couple) and they won't get anything for him. To be fair I'm not sure any team will touch him right now either with his contract and possibility that his achilles snaps and hes never the same RB again
