He can be a post June 1st cut like AA was. They can always extend some guys or restructure. They can do what they want within reason
yeah but he would have a dead cap of 7mil in 2025 and 17 mil in 2026.. would rather keep him

Deebo gone next year? Kittle too?

I just checked, and both will become free agents in 2026, so if they are cut before that, I guess it just depends on how much dead money there would be.

Generally yes, but it depends on the terms. I.e. Bosa and Deebo's front loaded contracts make the cap doable for Purdy next year (as an example). Trent's contract will most likely be frontloaded as well. We shall see.

Looks good for Brock this season. Now lock in Trent and Brock might just survive to the playoffs.

Pretty happy for Mooney. I remember when we signed him, I looked at his skillset and thought "this guy is going to be a top 10 CB in our scheme."
His contract was a modest contract that would allow him to test the market in his prime years. Assuming he has a similar year this year to last year... that guy is going to get a big contract.

He was one of my top FAs I wanted. He will get massively paid by someone else with a s**t ton of cap space.

SF will extend Demo (already tried) I think this is end of the line for one of Deebo or Kittle. Harsgrave will have to take a pay cut like AA or get a post June 1st cut.

changes will be coming, moving on from one of younger top end talents made zero sense for a team that's starting to get long in the tooth.

So he got his $30 million a year. Well Lynch just f*cked this franchise for good. Now every half-decent talented player on the roster is going to pull this s**t, because they know it will work now. Good job, John!! Gonna start calling him John FLINCH. He's probably going back to broadcasting next year, and doesn't care about the shape he leaves the team in.

Yes, a few guys on here said that was the low deal so it's all good.

No, it's not all good. The 49ers caved and gave in. AND over paid. This sends a really bad message to the rest of the team going forward.

According to Schefter, the 49ers didn't budge at all on Aiyuk's demands and it was Aiyuk that caved.
I would think that after we traded DeForest Buckner because his asking price was too high, I think that did show that our front office is willing to be firm on contract demands.

Neither guy is gonna step on the field next yr without a new deal imo. Maybe they extend one or trade one. I highly doubt they just play it out.
Is this the Aiyuk page?
Too many fans worry about the money aspect of sports. Just be a fan. Let the staff of this team run the show. Enjoy this season. And whatever happens in the future just let it unfold. There's literally nothing we can do about it as fans. I'm pumped for the season. Let's steam roll Aaron Roger's week 1. Go niners.

Deebo Ward, and Huf are probably gone after this season.

I think they keep DMO.

I don't think Kyle let's Deebo go
Kyle loves him some Deebo.. so do i

Same, Deebo has the potential to be a hall of famer in my opinion. He just has to polish his game up a bit.

I've heard $47m to be paid now thru April.

Didn't budge on the contract that was offered *August 10th* That was 19 days ago. The negotiations been going on WAY longer than that. .

I think Kittle is more likely to be with us in the long-term, if he is willing to take a pay cut.
He's 30 now and will be 32 when his contract expires. The guy plays so physically, that I think he'd age more dramatically than a lot of other players.

Meanwhile, Deebo is 28, so he can probably squeeze another big contract on a team looking for a playmaker.

Got to listen to NY85, he was right that the 49ers had all the leverage in this case.

Lenoir is going to be tough to extend. After all these high priced contracts. We don't have any money left.

Right. :( And that is the guy that's probably outplayed his current contract the most!

They can absolutely resign Lenior

Lenoir is absolutely gonna be testing the FA market and be gone

They aren't going to be able to sign Purdy, Lenoir, Hufanga, Greenlaw and keep Javon Hargrave. Some or several of those will be gone.
