So he got his $30 million a year. Well Lynch just f*cked this franchise for good. Now every half-decent talented player on the roster is going to pull this s**t, because they know it will work now. Good job, John!! Gonna start calling him John FLINCH. He's probably going back to broadcasting next year, and doesn't care about the shape he leaves the team in.

Yes, a few guys on here said that was the low deal so it's all good.

No, it's not all good. The 49ers caved and gave in. AND over paid. This sends a really bad message to the rest of the team going forward.

What did you want the contract to be? Appears reasonable to me

Massively overpaid. Lunch is a joke.

Paraag*

We kept a good player. Our QB's best true receiver. There's worse things.

You don't pay premium money to a borderline top-10 WR.

Lol says the kid whining about lynch needing to grow a pair this morning

Seems it's Aiyuk that caved, if anything.

I think a frontloaded contract is wise. Purdy's contract next year is going to be GINORMOUS, so they have to make sure they time the yearly cap hits correctly. I assume they'll backload that contract, since a QB is someone you envision stays with the team for the next 10 years.

I dont know. Aiyuks probably going to hold out in 2 years because all of the money is being paid now, similar to Trent.

This too! But hey, they gave into a bipolar yo-yo...they get what they get!

You don't really see this as them giving in do you? They offered him a deal and didn't give in to offer a Jefferson deal. Aiyuk gave in and signed. It was ALWAYS going to take $30M.

I think most people love Deebo. He's the heartbeat of the team and one of the guys you can tell is friends with Kyle. Just like Juice, Kittle and CMC.

.

He signed the deal that they offered on August 10th. "Pulling this s**t" didn't get him anything.

Which is considerably more than he was originally offered. Before the antics. Before the "trade request". Before the drama. So yes, it most certainly DID "get him something".
I'm glad aiyuk got his $$. Absolutely earned this contract and I'm pretty stoked to have him back

I would like to keep him also. Ward, Hargrave, and Huff probably gone.

You don't really see this as them giving in do you? They offered him a deal and didn't give in to offer a Jefferson deal. Aiyuk gave in and signed. It was ALWAYS going to take $30M.

This is what happened. Aiyuk caved due to threat of missing game checks. Offer was not increased, not sure why this isn't very evident.
My only complaint about this is we are a run first team paying 50 mil a year to our starting WR's. Seems odd.

We don't need to see this as a competition between the sides. There's an agreement both sides are happy with. It's win-win. Hope it stays that way.

Now get Trent done and extend Lenoir before his all-pro season.

Lenoir is going to be tough to extend. After all these high priced contracts. We don't have any money left.

Because some people have a memory and attention span of more than three weeks?
