I really don't blame any players for fighting for their worth.
Of course, given that he didn't have a ton of leverage... I'm not sure it was really worth it for him to hold out like that and all of TC and pre-season in a year where we're trying to contend.

I dont mind BA for this, it was his time to fight for his money. Now Trent on the other hand wants to rewrite history while having 3 years still. Trent looks more selfish to me than BA.

$47M up front is crazy to a 26 year old to manage. I hope he has that prenup and doesn't get hitched before April

That's because he was about to start seeing significant fines and using math he knew he'd lose money he can't recoup by holding out any longer. His calculator finally started working I see

So is this a contract that the 49ers can absorb over the next four years knowing the team needs to sign Brock to a contract? I assume this contract sets the stage for some cuts to key players next year or the year after.

Losing game checks too! Those are pretty big.

We're good. Darnold only signed for a year.
Better not have a down year.

That's not sustainable

I heard Hargrave can be a post-June cut next year and then they save a bit over 20m in cap space. This is very possible.

Hargrave is gone
Hufuanga is gone
C. Ward is gone

Deebo is likely gone
Demo is likely gone

We will bleed talent we wish we could keep from here on out now that Purdy needs to get paid

That was always going to be the case. If this draft class is as good as we think it is it'll continue to be the situation… not a bad spot to be in

Unpopular opinion but I'd rather keep Huf, Demo and Law over Yuk.

Where's NY and all those reports of ghosting, lowball offers and all the other crap reports he believed in !

i still love you NY

I was planning on having fun debating but I guess this is better because it went down as we assumed it would since beginning of the offseason with an extension unless we got a kings ransom for his services which we didn't or at least he didn't accept the terms of trade or team destination

Yep, this season is Super Bowl or bust and going to loose abunch next season.

Hargrave definitely out

Hargrave never should have been signed in the first place given our cap.
1,750 yards. 15 TD's. Not one yard less. Not one less TD.

So he got his $30 million a year. Well Lynch just f*cked this franchise for good. Now every half-decent talented player on the roster is going to pull this s**t, because they know it will work now. Good job, John!! Gonna start calling him John FLINCH. He's probably going back to broadcasting next year, and doesn't care about the shape he leaves the team in.
