I ain't a coach and good thing I ain't but I can do math and watch what happens with this situation. Heck the team was obviously working at QB too passing on Mahomes and drafting Trey with three firsts. They too were massively wrong about the QB situation but you don't get down on yourself because you make errors. That for weaklings. You get back in the fight.

We ain't giving in and we don't have to unless we benefit from doing so. Leaning into the leverage

Not at all what I meant. I meant you continually repeating yourself that Trey would be the #2 and start the season as the #1 when it couldn't have been more clear through their actions that that wasn't going to be the plan. You probably said that 50+ times, lol.

It's all good anyway. Just saying you're really guessing here.

Lol. Emotional guy responding to everyone because he isn't Emotional
Time to ignore Aiyuk for a while. If he is at the facility practice, sign a contract, or leave the facility. Don't want him to trip over a sprinkler and get injured.

Of course I'm guessing. And debating. That's the fun of what this is. Ain't no game on but I'm willing to bet I'm right just based on what I can see and the math the lay of the land precedent and team needs. We ain't letting up here because it ain't no win in it for us by doing so. You take an option so you can have the say, not the player so we took it

Man this damn cell phone got me fat fingering these doggone responses

It's just funny how we consistently use them as resources to know what's going on…and now ya'll are poo pooing them

I've spoken to a one time respectable insider. There's absolutely sides to what they all do. Guys that work for NFLN work for the league. What they report often favors the team. So why would Mike report what he did about SF not talking to him for months? That doesn't benefit the team and yet he still said it. Then you have the Schultz/anderson reporters who work mainly through the players/agents and you get that perspective.

look man if you don't believe what Mike said that's fine. I'm gonna continue to use him and others as sources in here.

You can use anyone you want and if you just blindly trust everything that an NFL insider says then it is what it is.

I'm not s**tting on any reporter. Sometimes they're right or wrong, and sometimes when they're wrong it's not necessarily their fault. They are reporting what they heard from someone they trust.

In your scenario, you are saying the 49ers made aiyuk an offer in may and then literally ghosted him and his agent, presumably (?) for months.

This means you believe they made an offer, the agent contacted them to discuss said offer, and 49ers management ( INCLUDING THE GM WHO THE AGENT ALSO REPRESENTS) literally ignored the agent/would not take his call/would not respond.

This sounds.... incredibly unlikely. I don't care if Ian rappaport or schefter or pretty Rickey are reporting it. It makes zero common sense to me.

Anyhow, our opinions on it don't mean much. I'll just be glad when it's over

That guy is tool. Don't compare him to me. Also I don't think my stance is the usual Lombardi on his knee's sucking off the 49ers
Does this agent from BA have any experience? This is stupid.

Relax, man! You know that the running joke around here a few years back was that you guys were the same person. All goodnatured fun.
Will be a fun case study once it's all said and done. I tend to believe he is now hurting his value. I don't think there's any chance in hell the niners up their offer. I also don't think we trade him. So, potential fines in addition to an assumed slump in performance once he returns, negatively impacting future value…until he gets his feet under him. If the niners were going to blink, they would have already.

zero benefit sitting out. Perhaps not fair for BA… something they'll want to address on the next collective bargaining agreement.

he may have held some leverage at one point. He holds no leverage now, and hes starting to hurt his value. f**king dumb agent he's got

I think Niners keep him benched and ship him off to Pittsburgh right before next weekend. That way he pays hefty fines for skipping and we get rid of a cancer of this team.

good riddance

I don't see how this is a good thing for us though.
