Aiyuk has really hurt his public perception as well as his relationship with the FO. It went from "We love Aiyuk he's awesome!" to "You know what? he's alright and he ain't worth that much"

Dallas needs CeeDee more than we need BA.
Tell that to BA. With Ceedee's deal, I'm sure Aiyuk will want even more added to his contract, that greedy b***h. Just bench his ass and let him ride out the season then franchise him next year. Set a standard for this mofos that think they can hold their respective teams hostages.

At this point, I'd deal Mitchell and Aiyuk for Cooper and a 3.
it seems like Cooper and the Browns are headed for a divorce after this season so Cleveland may make this deal without having a contract hammered out w BA.
It gives them a season to try to sell BA on playing in Cleveland and to take their 30m + per season.
Niners get a comparable WR who may even be open to add a year or two to his deal

No upper echelon team will be trading for a guy with asking price

I wish we had everything full go. Let's hope & pray we pay Trent. Lord knows we need him most.

Seems to my understanding BA has to pretty much sign off on where ever he goes. So at last we heard Cleveland is not an option for BA.

Yea but swapping Cooper who likely won't play beyond this year for them with BA a younger Cooper who likely won't play for them beyond this year as it stands might not be much of a risk to CLE if they believe they can win him over in half a years time

Not completely true. Technically he is under contract. 9ers could trade him to any team that wants him.
The sticking point is if the receiving team requires a long term deal vs a 1 year deal.
So yes, most teams will want a long term agreement, but if the Chiefs wanted him for 1 year, they could trade for him.

I don't know what the rumors are at this point but as I just said in the Trent thread this is now a Trent priority. Big time. Season two weeks away. Tick Tock.
Diva had his changes now it's time to get in line behind Trent.

the answer was simple for ceedee, Jefferson, and in my opinion even Jamar. For us, it's not that simple at all.
i know you know all this… im just saying words to break up my work day 🤣🤣
my opinion: I'd make him take a team friendly deal or hang on to him at $14, tag and trade him next offseason. We aren't operating in a vacuum… we drafted another receiver that, theoretically, should be a better investment over the long haul.
Yes! At this point I'd make him a competitive offer. It expires in 48 hours. If no agreement, he plays under 1 year $14m. Tag him next off-season with intent on trading him. Gives the 9ers a year to assess the 2 rookie WRs.
This team is built to win the sb now. His hold out is a distraction from that goal.
We saw what happened last year. It took a few weeks for Bosa to be up to his usual playing self.

Let him sit. Give him the option of taking the offer or the trade offer we like.
If they win and look good without him, he is going to lose money and they may not want to bring him back.

Exactly.
Top avg $ WR
#1 Jefferson $35m
#2 Lamb $34m
#3 AJ $32m
#4 Amon-ra $30.1m
#5 Tyreek $30m
#6 Waddle $28.5m
#7 Devante $28m
#8 DJ Moore $27.5m
#9 Kupp $26.7m
#10 Devanta Smith $25m
$28m seems about right to me
