as for you don't know what I'm talking about with gambling term, but you keep posting the gambling reference of "All in"?

you do know there is another side of All in right?

The two month hold in is because SF offered one deal back in May then a bunch of crickets. Sounds like they finally met and started actually negotiating.

"All in" is in reference to this yr, which clearly they are. They got guys that are basically playing on the last yr of their deal. You got older guys like Trent who aren't here for the long-haul. Paying BA isn't gonna set this franchise back years or whatever. He's a piece for now and the future because of his age and the fact that he's consistently getting better.

extending your own vs overpaying FAs who haven't been here is what can really set a team back.

This isn't just business to business stuff. He's a player who you want, clearly. There's a relationship there. Playing hardball, which SF has done with him and damn near every player we sign has its drawbacks…now you're seeing it.

This team needs him and this is an all in year. Meet in the middle and move on. SF doesn't have to win every single contract.

Like you said he can sit out and can do that for like half the year and still accrue a season. SF does have leverage, but leaning into that over what sounds like a couple million isn't always the best way to do business imo.

we will see. Hammer that s**t out, give out some bro hugs and let's win this s**t.

If we want to actually retain all our SB contending talent we need to play hardball with these contracts. There's a salary cap.

At a certain point Aiyuk needs to realize that his best chance for a 2nd contract is staying right here with Shanahan and Purdy. He can take slightly more and go to a mediocre team like Pittsburgh, but thats where his career will die.
IMO, it's Not about money. We have been told the Pitt and our contract offers are essentially the same, and that the first 3 years are agreed to by Aiyuk. The difference is he wants the 4th year guaranteed, which is something we don't do, so we have the option to trade a player with time left on his contract while he's still worth something on the market. With BA under contract, we would consider trading Deebo next year rather than distort the cap by position. BA doesn't want that for himself. To do that gives us no reasonable out for injury, performance, cap or competetive reasons, and it blows the precedent which will make it highly likely other people will likewise hold out in the future to get the same thing. Why should BA get what is very unusual throughout the league, we never do, and it impedes the FO's ability to mangage the team and cap.

Look, here's the bottom line. If BA doesn't want to sign our competetive offer, he must play under his existing contract. He is Not a free agent, and he can't withhold his services without big costs to himself, and that is no solution as he will be tagged next year and probably traded. In that eventuality, we will once again have a significant say in where he goes, and he's already looked into that window, and realizes there are far more teams he doesn't want to land in than those that he does. He says he prefers to play here. Great. Stop trying to break new ground to the detriment of the team. BA, you are the unreasonable party. It's a team sport. Get with the program. It is lucrative.

BA like most professional athletes are entitled brats with elitist like attitudes. The real world doesnt get to experience these types of 1st + world problems of crying over millions of dollars all while claiming " I have put food on the table" The money they get paid is mind numbing to most as most cant even afford the $10 dollar hotdog and $20 dollar beer at the game. As fans we look past the money but when players get offered contracts worth the GDP of a small country and say not enough all while getting paid millions, its fair for fans to get alittle emotional. If anyone is like me, the 49ers are apart of your enjoyment in life so when entitled brats threaten my enjoyment and the competitiveness of my team, I might get a little emotional.

Guess what…he is entitled and no he doesn't have the same experiences as us "normal folk" in regards to working. That's capitalism man.

you act like he's some nepo trust baby lol. Dude busted his ass to get to this elite level in his profession…which only the top 1% get to AND that career is super short.

getting emotional over a guy being emotional with his career because it's affects your entertainment lol 🫠. That's rich.

if you think he's not worth that compared to the other WRs in the NFL, fine….If you just think they're all over paid, we'll take it up with the millions of fans that helped the NFL bring in $13B this past yr.

look man we're all emotional fans…I just find it silly for ya'll to be uptight and pissed because a grown ass man who's worked his ass off to get it this very moment wants his worth in a market that says he's worth that

comparing your life situation to his current situation is silly. I mean go be a all-pro WR and you can make that cash all the same 😉

Bro doesn't care about his second contract. He's in his prime now. He could tear his ACL tomorrow and never be the same.

We can't retain all our talent regardless of his contract. They'll continue to be good, if they continue to draft and develop well. That's how it works.

reportedly Pitt offered basically the same deal as SF, if it was truly all about the cash he would be in NE right now. SF played their hand by letting him go negotiate a contracts with other teams and not even negotiating with him after their May offer.

Do you expect them to play hardball with Brock this offseason too?

I hear you, I just want to see my team win. I'm not Brandon's agent, what do I care if this guy gets to buy 2 extra Ferrari's to fill his garage? I think he should get paid what he's worth, but what I don't like, is BA's behavior this off season. Saying how he wants to play with Jayden Daniels, and other teams.... he's not a free agent, and still playing under the contract he signed. He's been disrespectful to his teammates.
I hope he plays because I want the team to win, but I lost a lot of respect for him after the Jayden Daniels stuff. I'll focus on the players that want to be 49ers, and are here. he's been a huge distraction.

Thats the problem. His worth? Real world pro athletes are over valued as a whole and this will affect you as the NFL looks to find more revenues streams like PRIME- which is pay per view. But even in the world of the NFL, he is over valued. WRs, in my opinion are not a top position of interest on a football team.

Also, he is not on the market and yet some say he should get market value. Well, tell the RBs in the NFL that. Again, in what world do you get to step out of a contract and say I want more all because of a market shift. Does it work both ways? The entitlements and luxuries that pro athletes get are reaching tipping point in my mind. At what point do you become offended?

He is signing today!

i hope
This is a multi billion dollar industry and players in the NFL (who are putting their mind and body on the line) are getting screwed over by prior CBAs. Guys have earned whatever they can get.

I think he deserves to get paid and not play on the 5th year. There's tons of precedent for this. This isn't a Ja'marr Chase situation where he is on the fourth year of a five-year deal.

That being said, he is also getting bad advice. His chances of earning a 3rd contract after this one drop extremely low if you go to the Steelers or any other bad spot. Here he will have a guaranteed role on a good team and put up numbers that allow him to hit FA again in 3-4 years.

He also has to understand the constraints of the salary cap and how keeping a competitive team with stars around him benefits everyone as a whole.

Funny how Shanahan says they're negotiating hard with Trent Williams and previously said there's no progress with Aiyuk. Just get Trent Williams contract done then trade Aiyuk already, then trade for someone who wants to play for the 9ers like Amari Cooper.

HA Italian from NY

he's just a really good young player and we should be pumped to be able to have that here long-term. Not whining about it.
