And I am absolutely fine with players getting cut. If you suck then you don't deserve to get paid. You have to be good enough to live up to your contract. If you get cut purely for salary cap space then you can make the team pay by signing with a team to beat them. If they get cut then they can always get market value for themselves and land in a better situation. Plus they get all the guaranteed money so double dip. In many cases getting cut means they get more money

So you want players to play out their contract, even if they've clearly outplayed it BUT if they haven't played to their contract then they should be cut? lol oh okay.

It was a more friendly deal for SF all the same. They cleared cap space last yr in the process. Trent didn't ask them to do that.

he has no GTD cash. Yeah he wants to know he's getting paid regardless of injury. He's not playing week to week man, he's still the best player at his position.

also why do you care? It's not your $$ it's actually the players money.

Pick up the contract, stop negotiating with Pittsburgh, and tell him he's under contract for 2024, and if you want to stay under contract in 2025, your're going to have to play, and if you Ever want an NFL career, you are going to perform. Return serve.

I'm warming up rapidly to this approach. Creating long term entanglements with Aiyuk seems to carry a risk. He could be even more of a problem if we sign a big deal and he decides he wants to do this all over again in a few years.

Yeah let's sign a bunch of old players that get hurt all the time, instead of a young WR who's clearly got chemistry with our young QB and getting better.

ya'll getting upset because a player is doing whatever they can to get paid…complaining about attitude (when he's shown nothing until now) when everyone is being just as emotional over another man's money. Relax dudes

Literally the dumbest remark I've seen on the boards 🤣🤣🤣. Let me try:

"also, why do you care? It's not your opinion, it's actually the OPs"

To ask that question on a forum designed to discuss a team none of us have a stake in 🤣🤣🤣

Ya'll get so emotional over a guy being emotional over getting paid…if you don't see the hypocrisy in that I don't know what to tell ya.

And that's coming from a guy who got a million posts in here 😝

Hopefully the hold up is BA has a clause in the contract that York must buy this website and moderate the forums himself which is why Jed must sign off on it 😂

Never said it was…I said getting emotional over someone else being emotional is dumb and hypocritical.

lol admitting to hypocrisy in the same post you call someone a hypocrite. Crushing it
It is the players' money. The only decisions pertain to how to divvy it up, not whether to spend billionaire's money or not. The object of that excercise is to give us the greatest chance of winning games, both short and long term. We are fans. That's why we care. That is the discussion.

I'm grateful you're not running the team.

I also am. Teams don't live up to the contracts they gave, all the time. Essentially if your money isn't guaranteed - the team doesn't consider it real. Lol

so it goes both ways.

I personally think Aiyuk is just trying to make a great deal for himself - he may possibly not be trying to find common ground and getting what he wants but at least it's his time to resign.. Trent is just being selfish and egotistical and leverage how good he is.
